Default Aluminium or other T4 chassis options?

Are there any other chassis options for a T4? I have looked but can not find anything. I am looking at build an aluminum chassis. Not exactly but maybe looking to replicate what TLR did with the 22. Would 7075 be a good choice or should I go with 6061?

Any opinions or insight?

definitely use 7075, its a bit tougher than 6k series aluminum and not as malleable, it also responds better to hard anodizing. Use delrin for the side pcs. i can probably help you out with your project if you are serious. you will save alot of money if you can provide DXF files in 2 dimensional. i have my own CNC mill. check out my site!
