Only thing driving me nuts is the left CVA pin. Anybody know how to get it to stay in?
Little bit of blue Loctite.

I have Integy and Dynamite tools...the Integy are a little soft and started to round quickly.....My buddy bought some of these EXI tools and they are holding up so far...better than the Turnigy anyway...but they are all metric...so for my SC10 I got the dynamite 4 driver set.

So far I like the Dynamite sets.......decent price @ $20 for the lower 3 driver set and $30 for the more expensive 4 driver...I have both and they seem to work very well

Maybe I should replace the stock Deans plug on the ESC to bullets, but then that would mean having to convert my current battery over

I say go with the GensAce as well, the have direct bullet plugs on the battery. Gives you more options.

Like mahahalwhatever said....they sell out fast and it takes weeks to get them again.

35$ with free shipping, can't beat it.

search for reviews and stuff

well it seems the hobbypartz 30C lipos are out of stock

Speaking of Cs, should I be looking at 30C, 35C or 40C?

30+ for brushless......the higher just gives you more punch.....I have 30c, 40c & 50c...and dont notice much difference.....but our track is a "low traction" track so we loose traction long before we run out of power...on a high bite or asphalt you may notice more punch.

I would stick with the "deans" style plugs and learn to solder....its not that tough and soldering irons are pretty cheap.....you will find that many motors, ESC's & batteries will not come with plugs attached....you might as well learn to solder now

The Gens Ace 5300mah 30c and 5000mah 40c hard packs come with a deans plug...I dont think it shows them in the pic but I have purchased several of each and they all came with "deans" style connectors

Be patient they will be back....you just have to be quick

the Zippy/Flightmax packs are available in the USA warehouse from Hobbyking
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=16809

these fit if you dremel out a place for the wires...I have a couple of these as well
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=16781

I use these in my T4 with a 13.5 brushless system...they work well I can run 2-5 minute mains if I have to....I usually want 5000mah+ but I got these since the 5200mah Turnigy Hardcase lipo's I had for my Revo & Emaxx were too tall to fit well in my SC10 & T4....this was before I discovered/started ordering from Hobbypartz.

Yeah, I was originally going to order Turnigy hardpacks since they're quiet good, but from reading online it seems its a pretty annoying job to solder a deans connector to them since the wires are very thick gauge..

This is what I was looking at. I think from memory its the biggest pack that'd fit without having to modify/cut-up the stock battery mount: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=14676

I have a cheapo soldering iron.

yeah...the 8ga wire sucks to solder on the Turnigy packs....but if I did it anyone can

the biggest issue is they are pretty thick/tall they dont go under the T4 & SC10 battery straps very well...even the SC10 FT strap had a pretty good bend in it to get them under.

those are the same size as the Turnigy 5200...they are a VERY tight fit....I have them in 5k and 5.2k both and you have a heck of a time getting them in a T4 or SC10...I just use them in my Summit now

you would have to adjust the posts as high as possible and they are still TIGHT....I dont think you can get them in a Stock SC10 strap, but I didnt try.....I have the FT strap and still didnt like how they fit...but they will fit.

I ordered the Zippy packs last year, and ran them all season with no issues.....my buddy lost a cell in one of his this year, but thats one out of 12 ordered for myself an d friends..... then when I saw the Gens Ace packs last month or so, and I got both the 5300 30c and 5000 40c to try out...only a few cycles on them so far but they seem to be good quality.

So the 5000mah Hobbypartz one would fit in the stock battery mount???? I thought the 4000 would fit but not the 5000...

Also just need to make sure that toolset I linked to is correct: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Cheers.

I have one of those sets...just watch the handle I have stripped out 2, dont use them on larger screws or wheel nuts, the handle cant take much torque, my LHS has had to send ALOT of handles back under warranty....now he stocks replacement handles...so I got the aluminum style and use that as my "back-up" set

The Hobbypartz ones fit perfect in a SC10...... IF you have the Factory Team battery strap....the only reason they dont fit the stock SC10 RTR strap hits the wires if they come out of the top of the battery pack.

The stock RTR SC10 strap needs the wire to come out the end of the pack....

See pics in post below for better explanation

1st 2 pics....Here I am holding the stock RTR SC10 strap with the batterywires toward the front of the truck.....strap hits the wires coming out the top of the lipo Gens Ace from Hobbypartz

3rd & 4th pic....With the FT strap in the second pic you reverse the battery wires toward the back of the truck and the strap goes between the wires Gens Ace from Hobbypartz

It sucks to pay the $ for the FT strap but it gives you lots more options for batteries....the stock strap limits the height as well as the wire location on the batteries....the FT strap also lets you shift the battery forward or back wards in the truck to help with balance & traction adjustments....the RTR strap locks the battery in the center.

Here are a couple pics of the Turnigy pack in your link.....notice wires are OK but the pack is very thick...you have to really bend the strap to get it to latch.
