Macintosh should make a speed control

Apple shouldn't even consider going into other products until they fix what they already have.
If Apple built a transmitter, it would be a Futaba with a touch screen that didn't work right and caused birth defects. If they built an ESC, it would catch on fire and explode after they tried to copy Tekin.
Just my humble opinion.

Proof that Apple is not the end-all-be-all of companies.

Uhh yeah I know nothing better than starting up my PC and have it spend 15 minutes checking hard drives, because "something" didn't shut down right last time you powered down.
If ESC software didn't need windows, I'd have OSx or Ubuntu on my netbook in a hardbeat.
Oh and let's talk Vista shall we.
This highly anticipated, and utter piece of shite that MS unleashed on the world a few years ago.
Now they did correct it with win7, which was everything Vista was supposed to be.
Apple isn't perfect, I can get extremely frustrated with iTunes sometimes. but overall it's a much better product than anything coming out of Redmond in a long time.

Totally agree ! , but everybody pretty much knows that Microsoft is the devil , most Apple users act like Apple is the end all to end all when in reality its like any other company that is trying to maximize their profits . Do they make good products ? Sure but it seems like they take an our way or the highway approach too 3rd party developers and software IMO .
Some of the tactics used by both companies are questionable at best IMO .
BTW I am pretty sure Bill Gates/Microsoft owns controlling interest in Apple ?

After my humorous post, now here are my real opinions.
RC racing is just about completely performance driven. This is not Apple's cup of tea. Yes they make innovative, catchy, sometimes easy to use products but not ONE product of theirs is the highest performing option. RC racers will put up with a little more aggravation if it means faster laptimes. This is why Tekin dominates the onroad speedo market right now. It is not the easiest to use, the most reliable or the smoothest but it is the fastest.
Not many racers are going to spend more money for a neat, stylish, trendy yet slower product.

I was like Hmmmm, a Speed controller with glass vacuum tubes for the utmost quality signal, it would come in a mahogany finish and cost about $1000. It would also be very fragile towards vibration, moisture, dust or just about anything.

"iDrive" was trademarked already
