I love mine, it's been said that it is faster than any of the Mini-Ts that race on the weekends, and they all have upgraded motors and batteries. I've ordered a Fantom Mini-Mod motor for it, and a GP1100 pack.

is that the motor you'd suggest? I know nothing of these tiny motors and was thinking of getting some mod or something for it.. I haven't done any research.. and don't care to put much money in this little thing.. it already seems fast.. but I'm used to mods.. any suggestions?

From what I've read, the Fantom has the most torque of the popular motors. Here's a link to help ya out.

The only ones you're going to find in stock right now are the ones that are grossly overpriced.

Tower has them on backorder, $154.99.

Ok, quick note on the 18T.

It has come to our attention at Team Associated that some of the local hobby shops DO NOT have parts for the 18T and are stating that we don't have any parts to send them.

Ok, WRONG!!!!! We have a HUGE warehouse full of parts. If your LHS doesn't have any parts it's either because your LHS didn't order any, or your LHS's distributor didn't order any.

So, what's the fix??? The fix is to call Team Associated directly if you can't get parts. Then you'll have your parts.

Ok. Back to the discussion at hand....

could it be the distributor for the LHS.. because my LHS ordered a ton of parts and hasn't received any.. not that you ever need any considering this thing is bulletproof..

Come on man, hurt Great Planes. They aren't showing but a few parts on order, I know there isn't a parts shortage that is THIS bad. (I do all the ordering for the LHS) Horizon isn't showing much in stock either.

Hey Tony, I was just reading the assembly instructions and I noticed that the suspension linkages have a specific direction that the open and closed ends are supposed to be. My truck was built with all them installed in the opposite directions. Whats that going to do?

If I don't get an answer today Ill hit you up tomorrow at SoCal.

Thanks

OK Got mine put the Mamba 6800kv in it with everything set at normal mode and this little thing cruises at 24mph. It is fast as heck. I am going to try bumping up to the race or insain setting in the Mamba but I am wurried that the drive train might not handle it well. So far things I have broke due to doing stupid back flip tests are as followed.
One A-arm.
Yup that is it.
I did loose the spring to the dogbone when I broke the A-arm but that was remedeed by some fuel line.
It is easy to work on. And they RTR really meant ready to run. I didn't bother trying the stock setup but I did see it run at HotRod's and it performed well with better speed than I antisipated. With the new Reedy Power COMBO due out soon I would be interested in seeing what AE is up to. So far the 18T gets two enthusiastic thumbs up.

I would have no problem recommending this truck.
It is a great truck at a fantasic deal. Team Losi should be sweating a little bit. This thing takes a beating and has no problem bouncing back.

HTH
