A guy had the RC18T today at the track yesterday. Looked like a cool little car. Very fast out of the box. Anyone know when hobby shops will be able to fill all their backorders?

I got my 18t today and your very right this thing is fast outa the box! I'm very impressed with it! I tried it out with the stock elecs right off, mine had no problems, everything worked great, and it was suprisingly fast and stable. I then removed the stock elecs and put in a Mamba comp-x (8000kv) brushless motor syst. in it and holy crap! LOL I've driven a mini t with a mamba system in it (it had the 5400kv motor) and it was almost out of control, this little truck can take all the mamba can dish out and it is still suprisingly stable. AE did it right! Now, when are the FT and replacement parts gonna be available?

Mr. PigMeister!

Per the instruction sheet INCLUDED with (at least my) 18T:

(the smile is *very* important!)

!. Turn the transmitter on
2. Turn the ESC Switch on
3. Using a plastic tool, press and hold the ESC "set" button for at least 3 seconds. The setup LED will flash red/green to confirm that the unit is in setup mode.
4. Leaving the transmitter trigger at neutral, press the setup button once. The "throttle Neutral" setting has been stored and the setup LED is now green.
5. Pull the transmitter trigger back to full throttle and press the setup button once. Release trigger. The 'throttle Full' setting as been stored and the setup LED is now red.
6. Push the throttle trigger forward to full brake and press the setup button once. The 'brake Full' setting has been stored and the setup LED flashes red/green 3 times simultaneously.

Your XPS Electronic Speed Control has been set and your vehicle is ready to run. If you make a mistake during the setup procedure, don't worry; disconnect the battery for about 10 seconds and start over with step 1.

Now, who's your BUDDY in Kansas City??????

BTW, if this doesn't work, you probably are involved with:

a. NOT smiling enough during the setup mode
b. a faulty speedo (evidently mine is the latter)
