Yes....the truck comes with oil filled shocks and ball diffs....

Not sure if the Mini-T turnbuckles will fit....we will be selling a set of standard steel and Factory Team Ti soon after the release of the truck.

Bodies, probably not. You can try, but the design of our body is made to fit the exact dimensions of our truck....Losi's, their truck. Some minor fitting might be required if you REALLY want to make it fit!!! Just buy on of our optional clear bodies and paint it....heck, they're cheap!!!!

ESC info. Ummm, I don't know if I have that info at work or not. I do know, however, that it won't shut off at the recommended 'shutdown' point with LiPo cells....sorry.

oXYnary: Why do you wish it was a kit? Just curious....

The reason their is a demand for kits is because most peeps that race these wont be using any of the electronics, they will be using their own receivers, better servos, better ESC's, different motors...etc. Basically their buying a bunch of elecs. that their not goin to use.

TPhalen, thanks for the answers.

If you do find out if the ESC that comes with the truck can handle modified motors like the baja, please post it ASAP.

BTW it the late Nov still the release date??

midnight oil: Oh, I'm POSITIVE it'll handle the Baja....maybe more powerful motors. Hard to say, though, since the Baja is the most powerful motor at the moment!!!! Nov. release date is still on schedule....might want to check you LHS any time now....

KCLapTraffic: Well, I understand that, but the ratio between racers and 'everyone else' is like 1 racer per 100 'everyone elses'. I do understand your point, though...heck, I have all new electronics sitting at my desk just waiting to go in. Current electronics are pretty darn good, though!!! Been bashing them around now for about 2 months!!!!!

What about Extended Body posts, say to mount some of the SUV type bodies? I'd really like to get the Parma 50's panel body painted up and installed on the RC18T.

Any chance of one of those going on there?

Maybe I can adapt the Losi Extended shock towers to work. I'll have to get one in my hands so I can have a good look at it.

I ordered from Tower, so according to them I should have it Friday.

Will the drivetrain in this truck hold up to a comp-x (8000kv) mamba brushless system? I'm thinking of ordering one and want to make sure first... If it wont is their an upgrade available to make it where it can?

Hell, I was going to get all new electronics for my mini t, but for just a little more I can get the whole AE truck with descent electronics. It's like gettting a free truck with the electronics lol.

Hopefully the control, reciever, ESC, and servo will not need to be changed.

If the ESC can handle the Baja and the servo and reciever don't crap out like the stock mini t's I'm happy

I've been running my 18T now for a couple months....ON THE STOCK ELECTRONICS!!!! It's fast and reliable....I haven't NEEDED to change anything out yet (I'm HOPING soon so I can put my M8 on it!!!) But, until something gives out, I'm gonna continue to run the stock electronics.

Check out this video....it was done out back on Associated's 'test' track....

Test Track

(When you click the link, it may not show up right away (Page Not Found)....just Refresh your browser and it'll appear)

My truck is the white/red/black one....

Duh.
