Servo comparisons?

Im looking for a new servo Ive used in the past the spektrum high speed servos and they work great Ive also used a team associated xp 1015 their version of a high speed servo and i liked that one even more. But the guys at work with hate associated so they say nothing good about it. I just want someone elses opinions on the best 1/10 scale servos.

Looking at your avatar the guys at work must not like you very much. I like my xp 1015, lot of people seem to like the Savoxs. At the same time I've got some 2 year old $40 Bluebirds that honestly work as well as my 1015 so....

I just bought a savox and I'm ready to throw it across my room. It's pulling so much power sitting still that it's killing my reviever voltage with a spektrum cap installed. There's no way I can fit a BEC in my DEX410.

I've ran hitec for the past 3 years and had a few failures, but they've always been warrantied. I think I'm going to try a 79xx series hitec next.

And there's no reason you should have too, meaning a servo in a 1/10th buggy shouldn't need a bec. I've heard the 1015 sucks juice too but I've never had an issue.

thanks you guys yes im definetly going to buy the 1015 ive got a few buddies that use it and they love so im going to do that.

Ace 1015 is a WAY OVER KILL for 1/10 buggy!

Try
Orion 1007
Spectrum s6040 (ironically, just don't use a spectrum receiver)

Most branded servo with +/-130 oz/in and ~ .11 or less in speed!

Thats what I have said to a local guy who has a JR 8711 in hit T4 but he still kicks ass with it, so that must mean something... If ya got it, might as well try it... Btw I had a JR 9100S in my buggy and that seems like overkill but it worked great! Better to have TOO much than NOT enough! :sneaky:

why do you say not use a spektrum s6040 witha spektrum receiver lol. I did it in my sons . But I needed a plug in spektrum cap to keep it from cutting out other wise it works good now well at least better thana jr 590 lol

The infamous JR 590... That brings me back a few years! NOT fond memories! ;)
