I'll be using an RX8 and Pro4 motor if I do, which pro4 are people using with this truck for a large indoor clay track?
This is a fantastic truck. Super tuff and durable, really easy to work on, and if you check out Nitrohouse.com they sell the light weight edition now.

The jammin and the nexx10 are the same truck. The only difference is the nexx has a pillow ball front end. Whitch is a upgrade for the jammin. I'm liking my jammin, It's plenty fast enough to run with the Losi and sc10 at our track, I just need more experience and stop making mistakes lol

I believe nitrohouse has a new nexx10 set up by Chad Bradley.

so has anyone tried the lightened chassis yet ? and if so what did you think. i was waiting for the monster chassis to be back in stock but might try the new bump chassis if it works out better.

Everyone seems to be racing one of the big two. Kinda sad really. Sheepish.

Hey just received mine, UK is a bit behind US on new kit introductions. Anyway got a Xerun Pro SCT and 4000kv 4 pole to go in, my tracks are 1/10th generally so is there any immediate things to address or just run it and see? there will be Losi's, AE's, Durango's Hypers and maybe a few conversions to compete with. If you could recommend any spares to have that would also be very helpful

A arms and pillow balls, also if it came as a 80% roller you might wanna check the diff oils. Mine came with barely any fluid in it. I'm running 5k, 5k and 3k in mine.

Nice pick with the hobbywing setup, you won't be disappointed. I recommend using zero timing and start with the punch at 6.

Im 1 of 2 that race a nexx10sc at blue groove in greensboro nc and i really like the truck, very durable and easy to work on. From what i see, a little more practice/tuning and the other trucks will be chasing us to the finish line.

Im running a rx-8, tenshock 4600 combo and i love it.

Im still racing mine and it does really well on 1/10th scale type tracks personally I would take it over an sc10 4x4 for sure but I bought a losi for bigger tracks due to the fact my nexx10 set up is a lowrider and the way I like it set up at highest ride height is still a few mm lower than a low riding scte. In our points series I have 3 2nd place finishes, 1 first and a dnf from a short lunsford upper front hinge pin that came out in the main (is now back to the stock hinge pin (2 more races to go and there are 2 drops). The Nexx10sc is a great club racer that does not break the bank. I even run a viper copperhead 150 dollar 5150 motor and esc combo and I beat most losi and vast majority of sc10 4x4 that I race against and that can be 6 to 20 trucks at any given club race. The other trucks (mostly all losi) run Tekin 4 pole 4600 and castle 4 poles, couple tenshock with many still using 4.5 and 5.5 2 pole.

So what I have basically summised from this thread is the front shocks are short for 1/8th tracks but if driven well you get away with it.
Longer shocks and taller tower do not improve the handling.
Question then is, as people have mentioned pillow balls and A arms can be weak - do the longer shocks improve durability?

well i put the carbon fiber towers on and proline shocks on. what i noticed is it does handle better on the big tracks with the longer shocks on due to it not bottoming out giving the truck better handling by not slamming the chassis into the ground . it makes it more concistence. i think that they should of put bigger shocks on from the start.and layed the battery down like in the monster chassis. but over all i still think its the best bang for the buck.

For things to break the impact has to be in such a way that its very sharp or direct. Most all vehicles have this issue (seen all the trucks break in one way or another every week lol). I went 10 weeks or so no issues then I started having them. 50% was how tight I put it together other 50% was me driving like an idiot. Personally I would not change the shocks and I would not lay down the battery. Its designed to be low and rotate and it is not a plush driving truck on most tracks but it is light, it is predictable and it is competitive on most tracks. Get ruts in the track from truggies and other big vehicles it becomes hard to deal with, really imo that is thee only down side to the truck.

Default motor combo

I've got a nexx 10sc coming in the mail. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this setup:

ofna nexx 10sc
brushless hobbies 120amp esc
castle 4pole 1407 6900kv

The castle gearing chart only says OMGWTFBBQ on the jammin for this motor. Will it be super strong, or simply die? I do know how to dial down my throttle.

If your bashing go for it. That's a real big motor though. If your racing it do yourself a favor and get a 4000kv motor now.

Alright, thanks. 8) I'll start looking for a 4000kv motor then. Does it matter 4pole or 550 size? edit: nvm found the 4k motors
