I always just used a little shim on the pillow ball instead of having to back it out any. We had some laying around and just did that. Camber set perfectly.

Just got my Nexx 10sc up and running, and it seems to be pretty noisy (ie centre diff gear noise) is this normal? ive played around with gear mesh etc and thats all good no binding etc, this is my 1st 4x4 sct truck had 2wd before and its alot noiser...

Im using the stock pinion that came with the truck, running a 4-pole cc1410 ive removed the motor and its ok..

Found these movies of someone elses SCRT10 and mines pretty well the same

This vid is with the car off... just pushing it back and forth with the motor meshed up to the spur:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQb4kCXXWq4

And this is without motor meshed up against the spur

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwNjT-InTm0

As you can see, the car rolls like butter without the motor installed. No matter how tight/loose against the spur I set the pinion/motor, I get that grinding/binding.

Maybe its got something to do with the 4-pole motor..

Yeah i thought so, i ran a few packs threw it this arvo and all good..

Bloody great truck too i reakon, im very happy with my purchase..

Got another question? Just wondering what brand pinion gears people are using for a 3mm shaft?

Im running the stock pinion now with the supplied adapter, but id prefer not to use an adapter can i get Mod1 pinion with a 3mm bore that is as wide as the spur gear all the ones ive seen have a thinner gear..

you hear them run too unlike 2wds like a night and day difference in noise lol. at our track you cant hear 2wds from the driver stand unless they are going down the front stretch and 4x4's you can hear almost all over the track.

Haven't seen much mention of adjusting the front roll center. Has anyone played with this ? I have a bit of an off power push and plan on playing with it a bit. Just curious.
