Im running a Mamba Max pro with a 4.5 LRP X12L SC..
Are you going to change out the grease to oil in your diffs?

drew840 04-13-2011 12:27 PM

Yes, definitely change the diffs to oil .... I think most guys on here mentioned they are running 5/5/3 (front/center/rear)

I'm still toying around with mine - but hope to have it on the track in a week or so.

The diffs come with oil but not much before you put it on the track get a setup on the car.

diffs
5/5/3

shocks
60 f
40 r

I would ask Gauge a OCRC employee for help if you are having issues his truck is DIALED!

Ya, Gaige Hooked me up with a whole set up sheet.. he told me to run a 4/4/2..
shocks
32.5 r 2 hole piston
37.5 f 1 hole piston
and still running the white springs..

HYPERBOY 04-13-2011 01:51 PM

4/4/2 would be good for someone who drivers loose cars, if you dont like it I would suggest 5/5/3 which will calm the car down and make it easier to drive.

shawn00sa 04-13-2011 02:43 PM

waht about 3/3/1?....how does this work?

mc4798 04-13-2011 03:17 PM

Ofna Nexx SC

Well guys add me to the list............. Just ordered mine

HYPERBOY 04-13-2011 03:20 PM

mc4798 SWEET...you won't be disappointed

shawn00sa I would imagine it would be very hard to drive, you would have zero punch and the rear would be loose.

Im going to be ordering this chassis, this friday. My losi Ten SCTE pins craped out on me, along with 2 sets of the gears inside. I'm just fed up with the parts not being in stock, Lack of aftermarket. So I'm Shelfing that chassis till more parts/Issues are fixed....

Now on to the NEXX, Does this chassis have any issues? I have a Hyper 10sc, and that thing is bulletproof. I love the Beefy Pins Ofna Uses..

I will be running a MMM/1415 combo 3s, Should be more than enough :sneaky:

HYPERBOY 04-13-2011 05:20 PM

Ask R2, I was crashing the H$LL out of this thing and (knock on wood) still have had zero parts break! Solid truck.

Gunner132 04-13-2011 05:23 PM

i think im ordering mine soon too! but nitrohouse doesnt have the novak system in stock so ill have to wait... cant wait to let it loose

Hyper have you tried this shock setup?

I just ordered a set of Rear Jammin SCRT10 Shocks from Ebay, cheap! Anyway I ordered the Jammin Carbon towers and was thinking on running the rear's I got up front. Any suggestions on how to set up front shock, I have White Hard and Blue Med springs.

The Hyper I was driving are using same size shocks F & B and now using 3 hole 1.1mm pistons up front.

HYPERBOY 04-14-2011 09:47 AM

ffpm46:

I am sticking with the setup I have for WCRC, I raced for the first time last night and pulled off TQ/WIN with 11 entries and when I compared lap times with 1/8 I was the same if not faster.

But I am going to start with Gauge's shock setup at OCRC or possibly in Vegas next month at 702, I think it will work better on a loose track.

Love my new truck.. only drove about half a battery before racing started, ended up with a 4th place finish out of 9 with Gaige taking the win of course..
only thing that kept happening was the two lower screws that hold the front bumper on kept loosening up.
So much fun to drive, I almost enjoy driving it more than my 1/8th scale buggy!
