Default Looking for best "spec tire" for 2wd SC trucks!

My club is looking at doing spec SC class this summer and we need advice on good all around tire. Our track is usually hard and dusty so we need a tire that has a good balance between traction and wear.

Thanks for the opinions!

I think the Slash tires are the best for spec, the Kyosho ones arent bad either.

I'd go with m3 calibers, they last a long time

I thought he said spec, meaning kit tires. Right?

IMO the best club spec tire is the Slash tire. Cheap and last a long time, and everyone knows what it is.

Maybe, but I'm thinking he means a "spec" tire could be any tire that everyone agrees to only run, thus making it a "spec" or "control" tire?

Those new losi xxx-sct tires would be my pick of all the stockers out there.. soft compound bowtie'ish tire hooks on most any dirt surface. Blitz tires are also a nice go to.

If you are thinking about picking a 'control' tire, go w/ the AKA Enduro's

Hotbodies MegaGrids work on pretty much any surface. The big lugs hook up in loose and loamy conditions, and the pink compound hooks up on hardpacked grooved or dusty conditions. Good wear as well. Only downside is that they don't come with inserts.

Our Tri-City series in IL/WI is using the AKA soft Enduro, for its great utility at different tracks and excellent wear.

Don't think you'd go wrong with either the AKA Enduro's or the ProLine Calibers - both last a long time and continue to give good traction as they wear.
