Default quick soldering castle esc question

should u remove anymore of the insulation around the battery wires that im going to solder a deans plug too? or is what castle already tinned big enough?
never been to sure of this. need a quick response!

ive never removed more, but i always add more tinning to the existing wire.

ive never had an issue.

Personally I always cut off what they tinned and i use my own solder...just my 2 cents

racer53 Personally I always cut off what they tinned and i use my own solder...just my 2 cents.

I wouldn't add to it because castle uses silver solder, I don't like to mix solder, I'd cut it off and start over

/\ this... also don't cut off too much insulation.. 1/8" is all you need.. remember to put heat shrink tubing on before you solder the wires up.. use a real hot soldering iron as well when soldering deans.. be fast.. i also plug the male end into a female connector to help dissipate heat to keep the plug from melting

yea 60 watt should be fine.. i personally use a good 60/40 rosin core solder
