Default Simple and cheap way to maintain CVD's

hey all
i purchased these boots from A Main Hobbies and just instaled them yesterday. they really seal up the joint and keep the lube inside where it belongs. one thing that i noticed was that even though i clean religiously, every one of my cvd joints was gritty with dirt and crap! these boots are $6 for 4 and come in four colors. i see them as a cheap way to lengthen the time between rebuild and smoother running!

Part # DYN7687B, B-blue, R-red, P-purple, no letter is black.

i tried that too, but the boot plus the shrink tube made the axle too fat in the front knuckle. it may work but i didnt want to force it in. im just hoping that they stay on.

They look cool. I wonder if they cause any binding? 1/8 scale uses them but the cars weigh 3 times as much.

You can use the 1/10th Durango ones for your 1/10th cars.

Yeah i was thinking about that.

I run some smooth indoor clay rite now so it isnt much of an issue here.

When i start outdoor i may look into some.

I have used those for years. They don't bind at all and they work great but they don't last very long. They tend to split at the creases after not too many race days, but they do work great while they are intact

On a side note, will those boots cover the ends on the CVD's of the RC8BE, or will they rip when you pull them over ?
