I have been running without the center diff lately and like it alot. I have been running the center diff at smaller tracks. I have also been running less droop by moving the shock positions to the flattest setting...At first, I tried less droop by adding fuel tubing to the inside of the shock, but the truck would scrape the ground under acceleration ad hard turning. Because of this, I like the flatter shock position better (for High -traction indoor clay only!)....I have been out of town alot, so I have been concentrating on my short course's...after the sort course shootout in Wisconsin at the end of this month, ill be able to run the 'pede about 6 races in a row...I should be able to feel it out at that time.

Okay thanks for the feedback. I'm looking forward to building mine and playing around with stuff. I really think the sway bars are gonna help out

What sort of oil are you running in the center diff? It comes with 100k but since that's more for the longer wheelbase (and heavier) slash I'm thinking 50k might be better for the shapeshifter

The car has so much steering anyway that the lighter weight oil would be a detriment (more steering, and more ballooning the front tires). If anything, thicker diff oil is needed, or the slipper.
Hope this helps.

I have not been running the truck in the past few weeks. I have been running at short course races out of town. after this weekend, I will be able to take some vids of the truck running.

I have some of my fellow employees with this conversion, although their vehicles are alot more stock than mine. I will try to get them to bring their rides, too.

I've been running mine without the center diff as well and really like the way it drives. Really the only problem with my setup right now is if I brake too hard it just endos and tumbles ass over elbows

That happened to me as well when I took out the center....I solved it by getting used to running 150% forward and 60% brake with the slipper about 1/2 turn loose. It barely slips, but I am able to keep it from wheelying when I punch it in the straights....and the 60% seems to do well for the front endos.

How do you figure? The body looks a bit high but it weighs almost nothing. I love my stampuggy, I left my shock guards on though, cuz I like them.

the TT body will be way too short. try a ten-t body or maybe a full size 1/8 truggy body. the stampede has a shorter wheelbase than a SC and look at how short it looks on that.

the scrt 10 is a little shorter than a normal sc but just by a little. I think the ten t body looks too old school truggy-ish. It was just a thought...thanks!
