Default Hyper 7 Project

I have a old hyper 7 sitting in the garage that I want to revive as a basher. Just some thing for camping trips to the sand dunes. I put way to much abuse on my track hyper 9e last trip.

What does it need to update it?
What hop ups does it need to make it stonger?
What parts break?
Does anyone make a electric conversion for it?
Can I swap out the shocks for the big bore 17mm style that are on my hyper 9e?
Is there a cheaper big bore solution?

Or any other thoughts would be appreciated

Matt

Default super 7

Buddy Ill tell you first hand, the hyper 7 in still the strongest buggy Ive had to date. I ran it every single day for 2 years strait ( weather pending of course) never broke a single thing..NOTHING! I burned down 3 nitro motors and endless amount of nirto through it.. thing is BOMB PROOF! After I burned up my last motor this is what I did..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72F2T...&tracker=False

still running to this day

I will agree. I have a hyper 7, i dont use it any more, but the buggy is like a rock. I think the only things i ever broke on it were the wing, some piece that goes infront of the front differential and kinda holds the two a arms together...and i think really that was it! I only broke that one part because it was a run away at full speed into a steel pole. $5 part. The car was doing top speed at wide open throttle. seriously the thing is a freaking tank.

I too have been sitting on a Hyper 7 for a few years and finally decided to go BL. Thinking about the RCProductDesigns conversion for it.

I've been very happy with the performance in the past and my interest in nitro has subsided so I wanted to make the most of a great car and build a durable basher.

Go with the rcmonster setup. Rcproductdesign does the batteries on both sides and sits to far out. It doesn't give enough center gravity.
