Ok so you will see in this picture this is the tire you are talking about:

http://www.raceaka.com/assets/images...res/13309x.jpg

You still see that the side lines are pointing towards the middle. If you run those lines pointing towards the front of the car it will be more aggressive. and vi versa.. If the arrows are pointing towards the rear of the tire it will be less aggressive.

Pavidis was at the recent CRCRC Midwest Champs setting up team drivers with the new Handlebars. Thursday night when the track dried some and got a little dust on it word was the Handlebars were awesome. The rest of the time the track was really damp and word was they were still really good.

The pins looked to be a little lower than say a BK Bar.

The sidewall has a handlebar mustache on it.

Tebo said the tires they were running were full production versions, and they should be available soon.

I was reading on the Handlebar's that are coming out and saw that the SC tire as having a Black Insert. Any info on this insert? Is it their old inserts or? Looks like a great tread pattern (Handlebars).

Answered my own question. Saw on Redrc today that AKA is releasing a Black Medium insert for 1/8 and SC that is softer then the original insert but more firm then the Red insert. Looks to be perfect for the higher bite tracks. I know my local track does better with a firm insert.

Are the short course tires wide like ProLine tires? Not sure how I feel about be wide tires. I think they need a firmer insert to keep from mushing out - as I've found with the prolines. Looking forward to testing some of these handlebars

Yes, they are our "wide" version. We made sure there is enough support on the side wall by reinforcing it with internal webbing. Also, the new SC foam is taller on the outside like PL's, so they fit non-AKA tires just as well.

To clarify, the black foam is to be released as its own part number. These will be great on high bite tracks or if you want maximum life out of the foam. The pre-mounts and tire/foam part numbers will have the red foam. Remember, these are different from our regular 1:8 foam, specifically designed for SC tires.

Direct quote form a certain track owner here in so. Cal, "There was so much grip it was like driving a slot car! Thanks for the hard work guys and for not just releasing another tire but actually working your butts off and getting the compound right."
