Baja 1000 Rules
• Must have a four man team.
• Must have a team name.
• Each member must race their own vehicle.
• Each team will submit a driver order list and must maintain this order the entire race.
o 1st Driver
o 2nd Pit
o 3rd Marshall
o 4th On deck driver
• Only team members can work on or do repairs their teams vehicles. (Kids will be an exception and we will deal with this as necessary.)
• Must use a 2.4 radio.
• Any brand of short course truck is allowed.
• May use stock motor or any ROAR legal 17.5 brushless motor and speed controller.
• 6 or 7 cell NiCd, NiMh, or 2 cell Lipo batteries.

If you break on the track the marshal will place the vehicle on the side of the track. The driver must leave the drivers stand and retrieve their own vehicle, then must take it to pit row before the next vehicle can leave.

Penalties
All penalties will be a loss of 1 or more laps. If the team continues with the same issue (Leaving pit row before other driver enters. Aggressive driving. Backing in front of other racers. Blasting over the track walls.)

Everybody is expected to be courteous drivers and allow the faster trucks by as needed. Hacking will not be tolerated.

Default AWESOME!

This is such a cool idea! I'd been discussing something like this with a buddy of mine after recently picking up an SC10, but with the addition of lightbars and night running without any track-lights... truly enduro/baja style.

Wish I was closer. I'd signed up for sure.

Good luck! Will look forward to photos/videos after the event.

BTW, is this a common event style? I think it's brilliant and would love to take part somewhere local.

Am I reading that right? 15 teams at 80 bucks a pop, or $1200, and the payout totals $200?

Thats an interesting idea...1000 laps seems too many though you might try for something smaller the first time...

I Doubt we will get 15 teams but if we do we will make the payout lager. $400 total. $220 for 1st. $110 for second. $70 for 3rd....and if YOUR team wins I will even kick in an extra $100 for your team. But yes we do need to make $ to cover over $3000 worth of carpet. $5000 worth of scoring system. Monthly rent, heat, electricity, water, jumps and much more than you can imagine goes into this.

Not trying to knock you or complain....just letting you know from our side what goes into it. I started this track this year so myself and some friends would have a place to race without driving 1 1/2 hours. My big misunderstanding is that I now have no time to race. Not complaining. We have made new friends got alot of new people into racing and have had fun. Got rich..no. Almost everyone at the track is friendly helps with everything and are 1st class people. Come on out and try us out for the day or on one of our regular Friday nights.

Believe it or not, some people race for fun! You go there to have a fun day with your friends, and if you win a few bucks to help cover your expenses all the better.

And they said 10 team min. so they might only get $800 to start with.
