Default Associated SC10

I plan on buying the Associated sc10 4x4 and I want to race it. It says the truck does not come with any of the electronics. Can someone recommend a high torque steering servo as well as a 550 brushless motor and ESC and pinion gear. As you can tell I am fairly new to the hobby. Thanks, Brad

sorry here it is

ok great, if you want to invest on good racing equipment consider going tekin SC4x 550 motor or Novak ballistic 550

both great motors

for ESC ( electronic speed control) consider going Tekin Rx8 or RS-pro / Castle mamba max pro / Novak havoc or kinetic

3 with great names and reputations

as for servos I went with the fastest speed / torque ration with an Hitec 7940-th

Hitec, futaba, and much more are to consider

Ballistic 550 won't fit without clearancing the chassis, it's too long.

Fixed it for ya Coaster, I should have added that part.

It will fit with minor clearancing on the side of the chassis. The timing nub off the end of the can hits.

Savox 1258TG is a great servo, super fast/tons of torque, and between $40-60 depending what type of promos they are running.

I am a Tekin guy but I did purchase the Castle MMP. $100 new and can handle up to 6S LiPo. My track is tight and technical so don't see the need for more than a 540 motor.

Based on how most people I see drive, they'd probably be better off with a 540 with less power.

That is, if it can handle the extra heat.

I'm gonna try this 3800kv 4-pole castle because I have it already, then upgrade if needed. It has a longer rotor than a 540. I have a MMP, but these things don't have a good track record with 550 motors.
