What does the c indicate? Such as 20c 40c etc.... Also I got a 2 cell 1000mah, will any 2 cell 1000mah work?

Well, in basic terms the 'C' rating is the discharge rate of the battery. With the discharge rate and the 'mah' rating of the batteries you can more or less determine how many amps your battery will 'put out' to your motor. I'm sure others will be able to explain a little better than me ;)

As to your second question, I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to. You have a 2s 1000mah lipo pack?

Thats the discharge rate. The higher the more punch you will get from it.

Example: 5000mah 2s lipo- 1c=5amps. 5amps X 20c=100amps

So a 1000mah 2s lipo 1c=1amp 20c X 1amp=20amps

The c rating is based on the mah of the battery. Mah divided by one. Hope this helps, I just buy the highest rated packs I can afford, the higher c generally = higher performance all around.

Google it for a very detailed explanation.

Got it thanks. I just wanted to make sure it didnt mean its a bigger battery.

Typically when you go up in mah and c the batteries do get bigger.

not always though.you can buy a low c rate on a big battery. (not that you would want to) you can get 5000mah batteries anywhere from 20c and up

cr8ter 02-28-2011 04:17 PM

yea. I just realized the 1000 mah 20c I was going to pick up is bigger and won't work so I'm just going to get the 800 mah 20c
