is it gas or electric? If its electric, there isn't too much you can do, but i would say start by getting al lthe aluminium that you can for it. I also make alum. parts for the electric one, and can hook you up with a nice polished aluminium bumper if you like. At this time, i can't make shock towers, as I don't have the right aluminium, but if i get some, i will let you know.

theres nothing wrong with duratrax cars, they just arent race bred like AE or losi cars.

the evaders are all ball bearing, so youre good there. id start with suspension personally. get some good aftermarket shocks that will hold up and provide enough adjustment to make the car handle like you want it to.

from there on, wait till you break somthing. when you replace the part, just get a better part

im confident that with some work you can compete with the big boys with an evader

To many people pay out Duratrax there not freakin pure race bred cars are they.....they are for the beginner I can keep up fairly easily with the more top dollar buggys. My mate said at his local track the lap record was by an Evader Bx also
someone at my Local track used my car (hes got a B4) and he was just amazed at my Evader he couldnt believe the fact that these cars are so inexpensive and are actually descent racers.

I got to see an evader Bx run in the 19T spec buggy class on my vacation against a field of Losi's and AE vehicles ( BK2s, Bks, and B4s, 1 JRX2 I think ) and it was holding its own. The owner of the vehicle just needs to do a tear down and clean it up good as it was kind of crunchy in the tranny but as far as track handling it did ok.

I think that if you are serious about racing, you may want another vehicle, but if you want to have a vehicle that is different than everyone else but you want to race, I would look into parts that improve handling or drop weight .

I am not sure if any of this is out, but duratrax looks to make graphite parts and I would start there. You can also look into a set of better shocks, I think losi ones will fit. I also have seen guys put on losi arms on there STs. not sure how much mod it needed but they seemed to work well.

Now they need to work on a smoother trans and make it wider
Duratrax has these competition shocks that are better then the original ones http://www.duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxc3500.html
