Default What type of battery connector does the MRC ZRT-1 use?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew what type of battery connector the MRC ZRT-1 uses and if there's a banana plug to (?) adapter for the batteries.I asked the same question in the rookie forums also, but thought I'd get more looks here. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for the response.I saw some pictures in another thread and the connectors looked weird, not deans.Take a look here....

It's almost like they use female/male banana connectors.

The esc has what appears to be 4mm male bullets. The battery has a harness with 4mm fem on one end that plugs into the esc, the oterh end has a 4mm male that plugs into the hard cased lipos that came with this. The other wiring (skinny black wires) is the balance wiring - that goes to the white plug shown in one pic - that plugs into the charger balance port or the balance adapter board.

For charging, you unplug at the esc. I now see why you need an adapter now, something to go from fem bullet to male bullet so you can plug into the charger directly.

Thank you for your response! That's what I was thinking too,I'd just be able to plug it into the banana plug receptacles on my Turnigy charger.Do you know where I might find such a thing?

How about I get two of these and splice them together...

Or two sets of these and add wire...

Any question either would work?Well, except I have no idea what size the bullets are.Of course anything with 4mm banana plugs would work.

Default ZRT-1

I know its a year later...but the pics in that other thread are showing the connectors that go into the lipo. I have 2 ZRT-1's and it has Deans for the connectors.

Pics here:
