Slash Projects

Zup guys. Just want to share my ongoing slash build. I intended to have an all aluminum Slash for bashing. So I designed and fabricated my own aluminum LCG chassis from a 3mm aircraft aluminum. Let me know what you think. ;)

is that the big one or the 1/16th, i cant tell.

It's the 10th scale 2wd slash.

have you thought about making it into an aluminum backslash?

It's possible with the chassis I fabricated. But would rather convert a slash 4x4 to create a backslash than a 2wd. This is built for the purpose of bashing. I even intend to put monster tires for this slash. Running vxl combo for now but looking to change it later to sidewider sct 3800 combo since it doesn't get too hot like the vxl

Thanks and will do. So far, just figuring out if I'll use a velcro strap for the lipos or a tekno battery tray. That's all I'm missing and after that, will post more pics and probably a video:nod:

the tekno battery tray is very nice and very stable. if you want the most durable, look at the parts list for the Vorza flux and get that battery box. its adjustable lengthwise and widthwise plus is tough as nails. also is foam lined, check it out!

wow that truck is sure bullitproof. Not any plastic left looks like.

Still has the stock axles and body mounts. Will changed it to mip cvds and strc alum body mounts.

Update Photo/Progress

I had time yesterday to tinker with my Slash and decided to add a rustler top chassis support to make it more stiff in front. Added the 2075 servo to keep everything blue and waterproof. Also as a reminder that it is a Traxxas vehicle. Just added the monster tire to check how it looks Next will be the VXL system and the battery tray. Still deciding wether to add the proline power stroke shocks intead of the blue integy shocks on it right now. Asthetically, the blue integy is better but the performance goes to the power stroke ones.

Also, I added a pic of my other aluminum slash basher.:sneaky:

Thanks bro. I really love playing with the Slash. The options are limitless. Just have to be creative and be different

bigben1165 02-23-2011 04:34 PM

that is true, its a great vehicle for projects. if i didnt have my vorza i would probably get a 4x4 and make a backslash, and a monster truck, and a road car and...
