Got a chance to run my sc411, 4000Kv with the SCT-Pro ESC, and am quite liking it. Runs smooth and no complaints so far. Seems similar to the unsensored version as far as power goes, just no cogging at all.

I felt that the braking delay was not as noticeable as with my own flysky gt3b. But this was at a track where the delay doesnt impose the driving too much, so nothing definitive.

Was at my hometrack yesterday and was swearing on the stand when i hit the brakes and my car just kept on going

Can't complain too much though, my buddy has burnt 4 esc's in the last month, and switched to a car that breaks like i don't know what.
How do u like this esc? Was thinking of trying one out for my scte and possibly 1/8e buggy

I have used it together with a fly-sky gt3b radio. Those two does not work good together. Brake delay problems. So if you have that radio this esc is a no-go.

However, yesterday i installed a Sanwa rx461 receiver that i got in my newly purchased Sanwa MT4 combo, and the brake delay problem is no more! Instant braking here i come

So both thumbs up! Go for it

Never had luck with any of the flysky crap. Always had delay in the servos even with upgraded firmware et all. Airtronics feels like a hard wired connection

The SCT-pro is a good ESC, very similar to the SC8 just runs sensored motors. I had the SC8/SC401 combo and running a Flysky radio, and it worked good for me as a newby. Then I changed to a Airtronics MX-3X and it was more responsive. Have now gone to the SCT-pro and SC411 with the Airtronics, and now it's race ready.

If you are just starting out racing and unsure if you want to spend the money upfront on sensored stuff, the unsensored will be just fine.

I think the best change I made was from the Flysky to the Airtronics, that seemed to make a big difference in feel with both smooth accel. and steering

Suggested gearing on a Stampede 4x4 with the 4600KV motor? I've got a 12t in there at the moment but it still gets hot. Am I better off with the 3500KV? Running it with a Hobbywing SC8 ESC.

Ofna makes a simple 3mm to 5mm sleeve you can use on the Castle motors is you need a 5mm. Also Castle makes a 4600kv 4 pole that I race with and its a beast. The Tenshock might be cheaper but its not running magnets no where near what Castle specs for their motors.

You can also run the Castle 3800kv SC motor which is only like 2mm or 3mm longer than a standard 540 can so its not any real difference in handling once in your truck.

Both motors are proven and beasts in any 2wd thats for sure.

Run the 4000kv with a 12 pinion. I run my 4k in my slash with a 12 and it's stupid fast on the track

Yeah. I decided to get a 3500KV so I don't have to worry about gearing issues. Should be good in the MT.
