Why does it seem like only builtrc has the 4000Kv's in stock? Aliexpress has the 4600 and 5200 Kv's in stock....

It'd be safe to go with the 4000 rather than the 4600 in an SSC LCG Slash 4x4 on loose dirt, wouldn't it? The Gens Ace pack should hold up, right? I've got a friend whose 30C flightmax lipos hold up.

Also, no more stalling or stuttering with new 6000mah/65-100c turnigy batteries. Though I also hardwired everything and ditched all the 4mm bullets, which could also play a part. Those poor little bullets trying draw some serious amps
good to hear about the turnigys. mine are still on the plane

Oh yeah dint see that one its 50C but doubt it matters much in a smaller car

I was hunting for some shorty lipos in nanotech or so. I have insane runtime with my gens packs on the 10th scale buggy so could probably do with a 3800. Do you know any packs which are like that?

Ok, I'm going for the Tenshock 4000kv in a few days I think, but before I do I need to finish prepping the Jammin for it. What pinion(s) should I buy then? 13t? 14t? The track I'm currently on is an indoor, tight, almost moto-cross type track that changes all the time (it is the 702 RC Raceway in Vegas if you're curious.) So I don't need wicked top end like an outdoor track would.

I ran my slash 4x4 this weekend with a turnigy nanotech 65c 6000. I didn't really notice much of a difference in punch from those and my turnigy 40c 5000. I will say it seemed like I got 15 or 20 min of run time in my slash. I will say I was geared 14/54 in my slash and my cousins slash was geared 15/54 with a 1410 and down the back straight in a drag race I kicked his ass down low they were even up top is where I flat ran away from him. I ran that 6000 nano for the entire pack non stoP and the motor came off at 145. That is with no holes cut in the body either. I think I can gear it up to 15 or 16 safely. I just hate that my cousins 1410 can wheelie and the tenshock doesnt.

That could be due to the slipper settings or center diff fluids if you're running those.

We are both running slippers and yeah his is locked down and mine is backed off some. Even on thel carpet section I couldn't get mine to lift the front end. I wondering if gearing up will make a difference.

Yeah brushless motors will generally wheelie more with a higher gear and the slipper settings make a huge difference.

I run the 4000kv and its a speed demon. 5200kv is just overkill.
