Either the Sirio Evo II, Drake Edition side exhaust engine, or Rossi R12 Pixy; all three are GREAT matches for the Losi truck, with more manageable power and better fuel mileage than an O.S. motor, and a better powerband than most of the Nova Rossi motors.

Anywhere that sells Trinity products can order an Evo II if they don't have one in stock.

Make sure you get the threaded crank! Both the rotary and slide carbs are good, so it's all personal preference. The rotary carb is easier in terms of linkage.

People have been running MT12's forever; a lot of the AE guys run them in their team cars, and local racers all over the country swear by them.

I think that the engine is way too peaky and has the wrong kind of power for most of the racing public, but the people who have figured out how to put the power to the ground do very well with those engines.

The MT12 produces gobs of power, lots of it down low in the RPM range. This makes it harder to control in a gas truck because of such tremendous low-end and mid-range power.

You found the correct engine. Lunsford, Hardcore Racing, and other companies make adapters to put O.S. carburetors on engines like the Nova Rossi, Sirio, Rossi, and Picco engines.

The part number for the Sirio rotary carb is S12161020.

I'm not sure there's a version of the Evo II that comes with the rotary carb..I've never found one.
