Default German 2WD Offroad Nationals

This weekend the German 2WD Offroad Electric Nationals were held. Maybe anyone of you guys are interested in the results.

Yesterday there were 3 rounds of qualifying and today another 2 rounds with the 2 fastest rounds to count overall.
From what I heard yesterday there was some rain but today there were dry conditions.

When qualifying was over last years National champion Benni Gröschel was TQ with his LRP powered Losi XXX.
On second position was local heroe Kim Sitensky with his GM-Racing powered Losi XXX and on third position was Marcus Lübke with his Team Orion powered Losi XXX.

Overall there were 6 Team Losi XXX, 3 Associated B4 and one heavily modified Schumacher car in the A-Final.
I haven´t seen all cars but I have heard some of the B4´s used a Losi frontend. The Schumacher used a lot of Losi parts including a complete frontend.

Benni Gröschel had a very clean first A-Final leading from start to finish. Car 2 and 3 had a crash right after the start so there was a gap between Benni and the rest of the field. He was driving fast but very smooth and didn´t make any mistakes so he was able winning by 12 seconds. Second place went to Roland Pfeifhofer starting from place 5 and driving a XXX also.
Third place went to Marcus Lübke. Kim´s frontend broke with 2 laps to go but he drove to the end but dropped to 5th place.

The second A-final was a different story. Kim Sitensky also had a very good start from second place and Benni couldn´t pull away this time. They battled it out for the next 2 minutes with Kim leading in between. But Benni was able for passing again when Kim went a little wide in one of the tight corners. After this Kim was pushing hard but Benni made no mistakes and also won the second A-Final. Kim made a big mistake and had to wait some time for the marshal as the track was big. But he stayed on second position and finished in this place.

This meant after winning the first and the second A-Finals Benni Gröschel again was National champion this year.

But for the third A-Final he did the same so he did TQ, won all of the A-Finals and had fastest lap in the Finals.

Kim Sitensky had another second place in the last Final and this meant he was second overall.

Marcus Lübke hadn´t the best of luck but had a third place in all of the A-Finals so third overall.

Young boy Jörn Neumann (just 14 years old) who did win the 4WD Eurochamps 2 weeks ago with his Durango didn´t had any chance this time. He was on 4th. place after qualifying and ended on 6th. position overall. But it seemed the Losi cars were much better at this track so who knows what had been possible using the "right" car.

Final Results after 3 A-Finals with 2 Finals to count

1. Benni Gröschel, Team Losi XXX/LRP
2. Kim Sitenski, Team Losi XXX/GM Racing
3. Marcus Lübke, Team Losi XXX/Team Orion
4. Roland Pfeifhofer, Team Losi XXX/?
5. Ralf Missel, Schumacher/CS-Electronic
6. Jörn Neumann, Associated B4/Team Orion
7. Markus Fost, Team Losi XXX/GM-Racing
8. Yavuz Kura, Associated B4/Reedy
9. Bernhard Pichlmeier, Team Losi XXX/GM-Racing
10. Thorsten Gora, Team Losi XXX/Nosram

I have some pictures from that race but they need to resized for posting. Maybe I have some time in the next days.

It was at the Köngen track near Stuttgart in the South of Germany. The guys from the local club did a major rebuild to the track and a brandnew drivers stand for this race meeting.

I hope I have some pictures later this day. The problem is all of them are too big in size for posting as there is the 208 kb limit.

I´m sorry I don´t know the difference between BK1 and BK2 as I´m not too much into offroad currently. Maybe you could tell from the picture which version he used.
But I know his car is at least one year old as he used exactly the same car at last years Nationals also.
