Rustler XL-5!!! (just ordered CC sidewinder 4600kv!!!!) good choice?

just curoius i took a leap of faith without asking and now i am i already ordered what do you think will it be nice in the rustler? should i have gone vxl? or maybe a 5600kv on the CC sidewinder? i want honest facts on this and i know the variables matter so then what should my gearing be? and how will this run on a venom 6cell 3000mah? ita all i have right now

Get a 2.4 radio. You can "power up" through the traxxas website for upgraded radio system.

thanks ill look into the power up program is it worth trading in for the savings over having a second radio and reciver for backup? and as for gearing versus temps? how does this work bigger or smaller on pinion or spur i need some good explanation here lol

Good choice. Not too fast, not too slow. It's a nice motor.

You should have picked up the Traxxas ESC is you wanted to run in water. There are ways to waterproof the ESC (search youtube).

And for gearing, the smaller the pinion the less heat you will produce but at the cost of speed. Larger pinions for more speed, but keep an eye on the motor, esc and battery temps.
