I dont race so i am not really particular about the wheel base and width.
1/2inch longer seemed fabulous!

I would like to see more details on this new Hong Nor kit. I am planning to convert my SCRT10 later this summer so I may just have to do it myself.

Default Stick pack mod

Come to think of it. We can always flip the motor to the same side as the servo and mount a stick battery tray to the opposing side. that way we can avoid saddle packs altogether

That is my plan. What I have determined is that I can cut my SCRT10 chassis shorter in the rear and leave the motor on the servo side. The B44 body will fit if I leave the front long with the 109mm center dogbone and shorten the rear to the 82.5mm dogbone by cutting the SCRT chassis. I can then move the battery tray forward and mount the ESC on the battery side I hope.

I see no reason to avoid saddle packs.... wouldn't your method result in the battery pack being quite far out to avoid hitting the spur gear?

you have a point. Maybe we could use the vertical stick battery tray from either HN SCRT10 or NEXX.

BTW, anyone know when is this buggy selling in the mass market?

I just happened to look at this thread off chance. I have a CRT .5 and this looks allot like it. I'd also like to know more about.

Thats not a Caster, its a converted CRT.5, just wondering what chassis was used to get the wheelbase to the correct length.

That is why I saw that strange "bumper" on the front side.

The OFNA extended chassis or the RC Monster chassis work for this conversion. The SCRT10 chassis is too long.

I have analyzed all 4wd bodies and most will fit. The B44 bodies fit the best cause you can trim the nose. The "cab foreward" bodies may be more difficult with the OFNA extended chassis.

i used this car in interim while Caster worked on the newer version. i custom made the chassis in two pcs AL front delrin rear with saddlepacks. car was a beast! loved power and i ran a 4.5 with ease. Drove just like an 1/8 scale. it needed larger shocks though. since then i have converted it back to the CRT .5 and my son drives it now (he is 5!)

Karl , i used the same body and wing on the Caster which is why you may be confused!!
