Questions?? Flux 2350 or HP, and what is "S" in Lipos?

Hello everyone! I finally have saved up enough $$ to buy a Savage Flux. But I now have the problem of which on. I have done some research, but did not really answer my question. The question is: do I buy the Flux 2350 or the Flux HP?!? I know the HP accecpts 5S lipo's, but the 2350 is faster on 4S then the HP. But what does " S " mean? And are 5 S much morse expensive? Im just useing this truck as a basher. Please HELP!!

if you are talking about lipo batteries, like 4S or 6S, then it refers to the number of cells in Series that the vehicle will accept. each cell nominally has a voltage of 3.7 volts, so a 4S pack has 18.5 volts, 6S has a voltage of 22.2 volts. The flux will accept (2) 3S packs while the 2350 will only accept (2) 2S packs. you will need 2 packs hooked in series (the speed control is already set up for 2 packs)

Buy the Flux HP - the extra money gets you a 2.4ghz radio vs FM, an esc thats not limited to 4S and a cooler running motor. You'll be able to run 4S, 5S and 6S with the Flux HP versus running only 4S with the 2350.

The 'S" is the number of lipo cells wired in series. Since wiring in series causes voltage to add, the 'S' determines the lipos voltage. a 2S is two 3.7v nominal lipos cells wired together so the voltage is 7.4v (3.7+3.7) nominal.

Take a minute and read up on lipos so you'll understand what you're getting into -

you NEED to know what you are doing with lipos, you can ruin a pack in one charge or discharge and they can explode. i also agree, i have the vorza flux HP and the set up is ballistic.

For the price it's good. I know a few local racers who have used it without any problems. I may pick one up as a backup charger as well.

you will also find that the more $$ you spend, the less likely you are to ruin a pack. i have (2) Orbit Microlauder pros at $240 each, it wont let me overcharge or over discharge a pack. that has come in handy more than once!!

It is simple to set the charger up so it charges, discharges, and balances properly? Also, could someone please post up some decent and affordable lipo packs for the savage 2350 and HP. Thanks! Also, that you for the help everyone!!!!!!!!!

Lol, thanks. That number has dropped to around 460 at the wheels over the last month due to some changed and a detune.

That charger is simple top set up and use, just spend a little time with the manual. It doesn't come with one, but look on the bottom of the page where you bought it, click on 'file" and the manual is there to dnload. It is a dc powered charger so you'll need a separate power supply to be able to run it.

I'd get the Turnigy Nano-tech 6000mah 25C packs. Castle recommends a minimu of 5000mah 25C lipos for this setup to minimize potential for damaging the esc. The 6000mah are out of stock, but worth waiting for -
