originally, when i flew helicopters, Austin from Max Amps said to hook up a watt meter between the battery and the speed control and hover for 2 minutes and land for 30 seconds and check the voltage and the amount of mah taken out. do that until you have pulled 75% of the capacity from the battery. He said to do that for the first 6 charges. I do the same practice with new lipos in my 1/8 buggy.

Default Hey thanks for all the info!

I have short ran the lipo everytime for about 5 charges. And by the way no one told me to break in lipos it's on the little pamplet that comes with all Venom Lipos right next to the storage capacity recommendation buddy!

my 'break in' routine is from when lipos just came out. and since i am such a creature of habit i continue to do it. i have also watched my own 10s pack go up in flamed taking my logo 700 with it, so i tend to err on the side of caution. But my home insurance covered the cost of the helicopter and battery!!!!!
