Default Competetive BackSlash?

I have my mind set on getting a BackSlash, probabaly just to fart around with at my back yard track, Anyways if i decided to take this to the Local track and race it with the 1/8 Scale Buggies any idea if i would be competitive.

Would Get
-1/8 Wheel Adapters
-Calibers, Revolvers, etc.
-RC8Be Body
-JConcepts Wing/Mount
-RPM Arms all around
-Team Losi Xcellorin 1/10 2200kv Motor/ESC

Heres a pic

Any and All comments greatly appreciated

I raced my Sluggy until I bought a new buggy, I can tell you that I put the Slayden setup on mine along with 1/8 wheels and bar codes and the truck was great in 1/8 buggy class.. just remember you are there to have fun who cares if you TQ

BTW I ran the stock VXL on 3S Lipo and it would actually beat the real 1/8 buggies on the straight

just my .02

I actually did this to my for kicks. That day i decided to race it in 1/8e class lol. I was winning by 8sec with the thing untill my rear stub axle snapped. It was funny, guys were yelling go 10th scale go lol! I guess they had to much motor for the track or no throttle control?

Great looking backslash! I would like to build one of these but need a 4x4 first

I think you could be competitive but I would go with different electronics. I'd stay between either Tekin or Castle Creations. Both have a great selection that would fit your needs. Castle has amazing customer service as well. Good luck!

It looks awesome, but it's just hard to believe a truck based off the Slash 4x4 which isn't known to be competitive among the other 4x4 short course trucks alone is able to compete with 1/8th scale buggies. I am not bashing Traxxas, I think they make a quality product but I've just never known them to be this race worthy that these are "whooping" 8th scale buggies.

I think it'd a be fun thing to have for sure though. It is definitely one of the nicer conversions I've seen as well.

Nope in right hands this truck is as competitave as any other. Maybe not a close as a true 1/10 but like i said in good hands its dangerous. I will give you my set up, but i dont run 1/8 tires and its not a buggy now. My set up mainly consists of front diff 7,000 rear 10,000 center 15,000. Also i dont run platinum hubs nor knucles, plastic has more choices in front and in rear the aluminums are a diffrent degree. But in front i have the upper camber rod in lower hole, and lower steering rod in inner hole. Adds way more steering to the car and hugs corners like a champ. Then for camper im running i think -2 in front and -3 in rear. And on top of my head rear camber rods stay in same hole on tower but in front the are in inner lower hole. Also sway bars black frnt/rer. Shocks i run 40 all around with black springs in front and white tmaxx progrssive i think in rear. My oils are light because on the sc track the jumps arent big and i like low cg. Makes handling even better. Dont underestimate this truck. I run all stock electronics and all. I bought rtr changed set up, springs, oils, put rpm arms, changes tires, added sway bars and center diff. I dont even run lipo lol and im fast with it.
