Default HHH chassis or Tekno

Hey everyone, should I get the Tekno or HHH chassis as an upgrade for my VE8? I asked this question within the threads and got no direct answer. Thanks

tekno also makes a chassis for the D8/Ve8. They are both great options for your car, both with their pros and cons.

Getting a v4 tekno kit for my rc8t.

as for the ve8 you can use the tekno v4 kit for the d8. Everything fits. If you look through the tekno thread they say what parts you need to complete the conversion.

Both chassis are nice but my thought is go for the tekno.

I love my HHH chassis. Super high quality. I've had good luck with Tekno products in the past, so I'm sure it's good too. One thing that is different between the two is that the HHH has an angled bottom and the Tekno does not. From what I've been told, the angled chassis is a better design.

I drove the Tekno chasis for my mbx6 (same layout as D8/VE8) and it was good! Much much much better than the other conversions I have tried.

The weight is more forward with the Tekno and it's very nimble because it's so small.

You will find the balance on the tekno kit more centred, better left/right balanced and a little forward biased. All these combined makes it a very nimble and agile kit. You also have the option of running mechanical brakes for tuning how your car turns under braking and options of running a clutch or slipper or direct drive. With all these options and pros, it's difficult to see how other kits are even an option.

I don't have experience with a HHH kit, but from the pics they look nice.

I do know that there are quite a few bits you need to buy if you go the tekno route, because it's actually a conversion for the D8. A few of them are, centre diff mounts and brace, D8 spur. There may be other bits too

The HHH chassis has not been available since early in 2012. I have the Tekno, great product, much improved over Ve8 - I think. You will need to add D8 center diff mounts if you have a Ve8.
