Questions?? 2wd SC truck spur gear question???

My 2wd spur gear is a 48 pitch 90 tooth spur....my question is, what pinion gear do I use??? I am running Valineon traxxas brushless motor so any tips????

i have found that it is a matter of driver preference and product, r u looking for more top end speed or more torque. More importantly, u need to run the motor at is most efficient set up. You don't want to over heat it. so it will be trial and error. check with he motor manufacture, and guys at the track that u run.

My set of is different from what the manufacture and the other guys at my track are running. but it works for me.

Start with an 18 or 19 pinion and go from there. You will want to check temp on the motor and esc after a few mins or few laps to make sure youre in acceptable temp. 150 to 180 is reasonable. You dont want to get much hotter as you could overheat the motor internals.
