As stated previously, if you're not planning on using the 2s batteries in another car, then just go for the 4s lipo. It's easier to connect to the car an also easier to charge.

Running 2 x 2s batts is not too difficult though. All you need is a connector to connect the two batts in series when running it in the car. And when charging, you can make up a connector so that the charger "sees" a 4s batt on the balancing port. It's not too difficult to do.

I'm running 2 x 2s in my 1/8 mainly because I also use the 2s batts in my touring car. One thing to be really carefull about when doing this is to make sure the battery cell voltages are exactly the same before running your car (ie. both batts fully charged and balanced) if you don't do this then you can end up with one battery's cell voltages going too low because the lipo cut off in esc's only look at the total pack voltage.
