I have 4 Turnigy packs. 2 4s 4500mah and 2 2s 5200mah. Great packs and very cheap. Don't be fooled by the price. I have yet to have a single problem.

Use the search function. This question is asked at least once a day.

Yes, these batteries are excellent for the price. There is NO better deal out there for this price and quality. Yes, there's better batteries but they're a lot more expensive.

Between me and my brother we are up to about 12 turnigy/zippy lipos and 4 chargers all from HobbyCity and all have been great. It wasn't until the end of summer that 2 of my packs finally gave up after 1 1/2 years of weekly use and seriously dropped off in capacity.

I have a Turnigy 5s 3000 pack for a heli that has one cell in it that constantly looses voltage. takes forever to balance. Once balanced it seems to work fine, but I do keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't drop too far. I don't think I would buy another one. Not worth the slight savings to me, but that has always been my luck when trying to save money.

I have a 4s 4500mah 35C Turnigy pack and have been pleased with it. At about half the cost of a like battery it is doing the job. I cant quite get it to a peak charge on my charger, but I honestly think that this is more a product of my charger than the battery itself. Also, many others at the tracks I race at pointed me in this direction as they have been running Turnigy for a while. Nearly all positive comments over the last few months.

Thumbs up +1

There as good as any namebrand battery at 4x the price. Ive owned Turnigy, Rhino and Zippy Flightmax and there all "Zippy" lipos and from what Ive read there just different grades of cells. But there all great. Cant beat em

It's good practice to balance charge every single time you charge. All it takes is plugging in the balancer... Don't see why anyone wouldn't.

1 cell in one of my 4s packs wouldn't balance for a couple charges. .04v off. The other 3 cells were at 4.20 and the last one would straggle at 4.16.

With 4 cells I don't know how long you could go without balance charging... For $50 you can get quite an ample charger.

I have had great luck with my Turnigy lipos. I've two 4s and two 2s batteries and they all have been great.

I would definitely invest in a balance charger though. I bought the Turnigy Accucell 6 at Hobby King for under $40 shipped, and it charges and balances my batteries just fine.
