I would also like to know which adapter's would fit so I could run buggy tires when I am at home bashing because on 3s it seems that a good buggy tire will hold up better.

As far as shock tower's I just ordered the 4mm Carbon towers that are posted on the first page in this thread.
Just get the 810 axles, axle nuts and hubs... Then you can run 17mm wheels. They bolt right on.

question since were on the whole run time/heat thing here : )

Im running 5.5, RX8, stock settings on the esc. I was running a 16T Pinion, i was running 180 then one night it went to 200, had to drop to a 15T now im at 155. Since then ive already tore the truck apart no binding, mesh is fine, also run time isnt an issue on either pinion. IF i drop my CL down to 80-85, this will limit the amp draw and cool the motor, so would i be able to go back up to my 16 then and my temps should be 160-170 range? I liked it better as ive lost my top end with the 15 but its not terrible. also btw im in az where its 100-105 at night when we race

Has anyone here converted it to a buggy, if so did you like it?

yes i have and it handles so much better

i bought the 810 hexes they are different than a regular 17mm hex. its actually cheaper if you just buyt he m2c 17mm adapter for like 25 i think
is there any adapter to use 1/8th buggy 17mm wheels to fit?

if i remembered right you asked the same questions couple of pages back and i replied to them, which i dont think you even checked

right, but dont they make it wayyyy wider?

this is a traxxas 17mm hexes but the losi 17mm are the same. only the 810 have that spacer thing in the back or whatever you want to call it. I think josh or someone else cut that off flush

So exactly which adapter should we get that will bolt right on to the stock SCTE stub axle and allow buggy wheels.

I personally absolutely cannot stand the stock Rims or the beadlocks. I also cannot stand the DE wheels either.

I will run the stock wheels on the track but not at home.

http://www.m2cracing.com/product.sc;...&categoryId=-1

double check with chris to see if they're the same part number to his adapters before you buy them

i dont have an issue with the bead lock look or the de one, the only issue i have is their stupid 50-70 dollar for a full set when i can get pre mount panther tires for 28 shipped

Look's as if those use set screws to hold the adapter on, Wonder how long they would last as I have always had trouble with that particular setup on other vehicles.

I don't use any turbo, boost, timing advance, etc on my 4.5 with my RX8. I actually turn it down by running the current limiter at 75-80%.

Im using a sp gt 2.0 awsome esc, only ever gets to about 80 degrees. I run about 12 degrees of timing, and the motor is about 145 and rips good. Was thinking of trying turbo boost instead just for the top end more so. Hmmm.

at our race this weekend, my buddy and i went through 4 motors and 2 speed controls. the only thing to survive was the mmp and 1410 on his. i believe he ended up with a 15 or 16 pinion. that battery should get you 7-9 min of runtime. all depends on track style and trigger finger. lol

You can cut that lip off, but it doesn't change the offset since the pin is still in the same spot. Knowing Josh, he cut that off to save weight.
