Losi 1/10 TEN-SCTE ARR 4x4 Short Course Truck Thread

Castle 1410 is the best motor currently available iMO.. runs cool and fast. A MM, MMp, MMM, RX8 and a few others will do the job for ESC. If you get the MMp stick with a servo known to work or plan on running a bypass or external BEC other than that they all work great.

will look at getting a different set as this is interesting thats for sure
have you changed shock towers ? as mine is completely standard

Their 6 pole 1/8th scale motor looks impressive also.

looking forward to seeing you on track performance review
Thanks for posting Build We will be having some really neat
builds and hopefully some new set up info posted soon
Thanks guys for all of the nice words and Ems

Not josh, but my opinion is the 4000kv is perfect. It's torquier than the 1410, but also more battery mah thirsty. Also, 5mm shaft, so no collar thingy. I love that tenshock motor, i think it's the ideal motor for this truck, honestly. I can absolutely pull and/or keep up with tekin 4.5's on the straight on occasion. It's about 50/50, neck and neck.

Thanks for the info Salad, so just to be clear I currently have the losi cf towers, they could be drilled to accept the standoffs as well or I can get the taller towers from SNR? Any drawbacks to using the stock height towers with the big bores? Thanks

If u have to run 2s then the Castle 1410 with mmp/rx8. If 3s then the castle 1415, 1512 1y, or tekin 2650kv with the mmp/mmm/tekin rx8.

Any ideas on how I can increase stability? My car loses the rear end when I get on the back straight. Feel like I'm fighting the car the entire race and I can't drive it the way I do my buggy.
5-7-3 Losi Diff Oil.
Shock weight is stock 30.
Camber is -2 all around with about - 1 degree toe. out

I'm using Dustin Evan's setup for both indoor clay and outdoor dirt, just swap tires out (Green JC Barcodes for clay, Green JC Goosebumps for dirt).

The only change I made was 40Wt up front and 30Wt in the rear to compensate for the heavier rig (he uses a lightened TLR chassis I think), and I use stock diff grease/Losi Smart Diff grease in the diffs.
I use carbon towers, lightened HD outdrives, aluminum rear hubs and pivot supports (0 front, 3 anti squat, 3 toe in rear) as per the setup sheet as well. Oh and my rear sway is stock 2mm. The truck is very stable and jumps well.
