Not exactly stock stuff...but nothing super exotic either
Mike runs a box stock Slash Platinum 4x4.

I've watched him many times pull up to a race, cut open a new box, put a battery in it, pair his remote and go.

He is not running a double decker chassis. The car does exist, but Slayden, who I raced with this weekend, has it.

umm that would be durango and i will admit they a very fast after driving a couple , but break a bit to easy from what i have seen , give them to a pro and my thoughts would be they would be the quickest with no mistakes around a track , but the Losi is way easier to drive and do lap after lap IMO

Hey guys, just throwing a question out there. Would i need to run an external bec for my scte? I'm running the mmp, ballistic 550 4.5t, and xp ds1015 servo. I have heard many different things and just wondering. Any of you run the same setup? I'm asking this because i havn't recieved the truck yet and want to know if i need to buy something extra. Thanks!

Actually, Hi-Tone now owns that double decker Slash that Slaydaddy built.

I too have seen Mike open a sealed Traxxis box and beat us down with what was in it. I just wasn't sure if he was doing the same in the bigger races.

If it was so easy then why aren't you selling them? i mean after seen how heavy this trucks are wouldn't you want to make those 50 dollars chassis for the ones that want to lighten up their trucks and at the same time make profit? (shoot i would buy one) after dremeling, cutting this and that and all those who knows how many hours invested no thank you. rather leave it stock or buy the BCE chassis which is out there winning.

Yes The durango Guys are Hard at it to make some very top quality
and innovative Products. As we all see these 4X4s are brutal on all
parts ...There is nothing more exciting than hearing the Pure power,
the look, and explosive nature of them...
I really think theses will be the Big excitement of the future.
(can you tell Iam a little bias to 4x4s....)

IMO they didn`t take of because they are not a cheap way into SC like the Slash was when it all started . Are there any others out there besides the Slayer ? I have ran two Slayers and they would need a lot of work to be "race worthy" in my opinion .

DUH" If I was in the market for a lighter chassis I'd buy a BCE
chassis also. I race with Bill at least once a week, I can just have him
bring me one to the track... I'm one of those guys who believes the
heavy chassis hurts nothing in the handling of the SCTE. IMO time would
be better spent loosing weight higher in the truck keeping the CG lower.
Lightening the chassis raising the CG of any race car is just stupid as all
race car designers in all forms of motorsports know" People that think
putting the battery pack on end raising the CG have no clue about how
to make a race car/truck handle... The lighter chassis only helps run
time and acceleration it does nothing to improve over all handling...
What makes the SCTE so darn easy to drive consistantly is good balance
of the weight, the CG is pretty darn good on the SCTE stock.

Someone was talking about making an SCTE chassis out of titanium to be
even lighter then aluminum (if you bothered to read) before you shot
your mouth off" LOL"LOL"

I simply said titanium was expencive to machine and expencive to buy and
you could make your own super light super stiff carbon fiber chassis for
about $50.00 and some time with a dremel. It's not rocket science to trace
out your stock chassis on a piece of carbon fiber then cut and drill it to
fit you aluminum kick up off your old chassis if you want that light of a
chassis.

But I'm sure you already knew what I was saying and your just being your
normal smart azz self....LOL"
