I took mine off. They bind the shocks up. And they tear after a short while.

What options are there, as far as shock towers go, for running 1/8th shocks?

Go Carbon, You will have to make the holes bigger.

Well, I definitely want carbon. What I'm wondering is, what companies are making taller towers for this reason? Or, will just the stock height tower work fine? I don't have my truck yet so that's why I'm asking. It's coming in on Tuesday but I'm just trying to get ahead of the game.

Low timing, If you want speed just gear up. I ran a 18 and 16 tooth and had a max of 124 degrees.

I think the jammin towers are set up best for 8 shocks.

SNR has the taller towers, but most people just run the regular tower height.

I have another question. Has anyone noticed that the front outdrive cup for the center Diff gets pretty hot after running the truck?

Could it be motor heat transferring from the motor to the motor plate then to the CD?
Weird, my center diff rear outdrive was 35deg hotter than the front. Probed 110 after a pack. Kinda warm.

I never really felt the rear out drive vs the front one i do know the whole rear CV shaft was quite warm to the touch. I am sure the rear get's just as hot if not hotter.

If the out drives are getting that hot then I could only Imagine what that does to the center diff fluid once it heats up. I would imagine that could change the handling characteristics of the truck quite a bit.

I felt my motor at the same time when I felt the out drive and the motor was not really all that hot. I was able to hold the motor for as long as I wanted so I know I was not overheated or anything.

Ya, I imagine the grease gets thinner with heat. This is where regular fluid would probably be better/more consistant. But I'm more than happy with the grease. I might switch to 1000 in all 3 diffs, I like the light feel.

Also I should mention that I put on a clinic at the track today lol! spanked my best friends fully pimped bump 2.0, and my other friends sc104x4, it was so tight, like it was nothing! I did practice for 8hrs without them though in secret! It felt really good lol! They were like WTF when I broke out a losi! They thought I had the sc104x4! Surprise!
