Quick question, when you change out diff fluids can you reuse the gasket or will I need to get a gasket before I change out the fluid? Never done it so I do not know what I need. Any help is much appreciated!!!

The new SCTE's (second batch of trucks) I see around the tracks I'm
racing at are having the same diff pin failures the first batch had. So if I
was to buy another one I'd pull it a part and put SC10 2wd gear diff pins
in it just like I did in both my other SCTE's they don't wear at all even
after 100's of batteries run through them...

I had my truck on 4 scales last night and was surprised at how well balanced the scte layout is with the mmp/3800 4 pole/2s, it was within 20g per wheel. The my truck seemed a little nose heavy, and that's good for landing on down hills but the 3800 with a 13t doesn't have the rpm's to bring the front end up.
Today I noticed the truck has movable blocks in the battery tray, I'm moving mine back about a 1/2 inch. And not using the rear block. I'm switching to the ballistic 4.5 high torque this week, can't wait to test that motor.

I never replace the gasket. They usually last years if you are careful with them and don't tear them.

sanding the diff case has really fixed the leak issue. sticky back sand paper on a flat surface seems to be the easiest way to get the best results. I have also been putting a small film of grease on the gasket before installing the two halves. My front and rear diffs are dry as a bone on the outside.

Also I just found these washers as an alternative for the kyosho ones for the ofna upgrade. I just ordered 3 and he has 7 packages left. Actually it shows he has more than 10 avail. I just couldn't find the kyosho ones anywhere.
Hey Salad, you may want to put these on the front page just as an alternative to the kyosho washers as the kyosho's can't be found anywhere. Robitronic R27001 4x10x0.15 washers. I also found HPI part number 101392, same size washers. Although, I couldn't find too many resellers on the hpi ones.
