Losi 1/10 TEN-SCTE ARR 4x4 Short Course Truck Thread

I know this isn't an SCTE question, but since you've guys have helped me so much and I trust the knowledge of RC's that you guys have imparted on me, I figured this was a good place to ask this question. I'm looking to expand my RC collection and I'm considering an 1/8th scale electric buggy. Any suggestions? The Losi 8ight-E is intriguing because it has the same basic layout of the SCTE and I'd be very familiar with the in's and out's of the buggy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My only problem with the 810 is how will it handle a 1400 buggy motor on 4-6S? I guess I will find out.

The 8ight-E buggy is a great car. Ran it for a while and loved it. Handles great and good parts support for it as well. They build and tear down almost identically so it will be easy for you to work on. Highly recommend if you are looking for an Electric 8th scale.
Thanks Casper. I'll definitely look into it.

I just build (err am in the process of) an 810 so I can test the Viper 1/8th scale stuff. I felt this was a good route since we have so much knowledge about the Ten T and Ten SCTe it just made sense. Plus I had the chassis, towers and about every replacement part for the SCTe and parts bolt right on. Only thing I need is a rear diff, keep getting out bid on eBay for them (50.00+ is a bit much to spend on 1 diff).

I have a Novak 5.5t with Havoc SC esc. Novak part #3117(bought it prior to knowing about CC1410 set up) Running 15/40 and no heat issues at all. I want to try and get more speed out of this set up, should I start with adding timing or gearing up on the pinion?? Is any one else running this set up?? Any input would be helpful.

The 8ight E 2.0 was just to much for me to spend on a R/C. It's without a doubt the best 1/8th and I watch it dominate every time I see one at the track. I have never seen one break at the 1/8th scale track.
