A guy at our track runs the Castle 2650 on 2s and in a drag race down the straight he has almost exactly the same acceleration and speed as my 1410.

Alright guys finally got all the parts in today and ran my scte. I ended up going with the "Casey Peck" set up. I got both the "Crispins" and "Horizonpins" delivered the same day. Ended up installing the horizon pins. They just seemed to have a little better fit. Also took what I thought was most peoples good advise on here & started out with the 1410 motor w/18 tooth pinion & Rx8 speed controller. Also got a few gensace 40c 5000mah packs. All I can say is WOW!! This sucker hauls!! Actually seems faster then my old nitro powered 1.0 8ight buggy was. Just made a few passes up and down the street. Can't wait to get it to the track!!

I really am happy with my Gen's Ace lipos as well. Glad to hear your up and running!! It probably is faster than your 8ight lol, a few guys on here say they can run almost identical times as the 1/8th scale buggies which to me is amazing. Now if I could only keep all four wheels on the ground..

18t is pretty tall gearing for racing.. I'd suggest a 15t or 16t. I'm on a pretty large 1/8 track and 16t is more than enough.

If you had $70 to spend right now to buy a few things that are essential what would they be? (My truck is stock other than pins and tires)

I really like the castle 2650 on 2s and 3s. When running 2s, I actually like it more than the Novak 4.5 with 14mm tuning rotor. The 2650 has much more torque and low end grunt.

Let us know how the 2650 compares with the Castle 1410. I was thinking about trying this motor as well, but only if it's signigicantly better than the 2650.

Also i've replaced the front bearing on the center diff twice already and it just failed again today.
I plan on upgrading to the hardened outdrives bit want to figure out the cause of this before i put a band-aid on a gaping wound...
I take out the nut in the diff cup and top plate and CA glue them back in. It fills the void arond it and makes the fit stronger.

What motor/esc combo do you have? You can get the Castle 1410 that everyone loves. I want to try this motor as well.

Very interesting....what gearing you running with the 1410. I'm about to try one I think. I really like my 1415(2s), but have heard more and more good things about the 1410 as the weeks go by.

I wonder if I would have been better off with a 18-19 w/ my 1415(2s) last weekend. I never hit above 145 on a 90+ day. Surely I can go down a few.
