, no probs at all never over heat, i run only maxamps 6500mah 2s, in a normal race temps are only like 115. in practice mode i run about 15-20 min my temps are 130. thats with a 19t pinion and 10 timing. very happy with this setup.

If the battery wasn't enough you would see the same temps on either gearing.. really you should be temping the lipo's too see if the are staying under 130. If you want more punch especially later in the pack yes you need some nice 50c+ batteries..

I run the Castle 2650, and Tekin 2650 in my SCTE and it's a great motor, fast powerful and good run times with no heat. I think I like the Tekin a bit better seems to be more controllable, Still need to get it on the track and do some time comparison with the Castle 1410 to see what is helping me turn faster times.
