I've ran that setup already too. Novak with the large rotor. Still doesn't get close to the 4 pole Castle.

If the 4 pole motors are better than the new Novak stuff, do you think ROAR will ban anything over 2 poles?

Kidding, or not :-)

Quote for Team Ass. Driver

finished up day one of the short course championships at 702 today, I wish I could say I did better with my truck so far, but I just cant push it without the swaybars, So I highly recommend getting some or making some when you get the truck, I might be making a bigger deal out of it than it is, but Its hard to keep up, Right now a losi holds the tq, so us AE boys have some work to do tomorrow, Wish us luck!

LOL, how's your purpose built SCT doing now??

Those of you concerned about weight. I use a Tbone rear bumper, but I use the one made for the Ten, not the SCTE. It is smaller, much lighter and I think looks much better. That SCTE specific bumper set is FUGLY!!!

Stock front bumper has held up very well and isn't bad looking at all.

I can't tell you the most proper way but I can at least say make sure you get all the air bubbles out by pumping the shock when putting in the oil. sometimes you have to let the shock sit for a min to let the bubbles work their way to the top. so make sure you have a way to let the shock sit up right.

and also the more oil you put in the shocks the more rebound you get out of them, so make sure you get similar rebound between l & r shock.

since you have the shocks apart then would bew a good time to inspect the seals and coat them with a sealant, I use this stuff called green slime work great! you could use grease but it will mix with the shock oil.

hope this helps.

Ran my mmp/ castle 3800 setup lastnight and wow this motor is a racket geared 16/40. It as fast if not faster than my hv4.5
Qualifief 2nd, due to worn out stock tires but ths motor is jus stupid. Was tripling a lon triple that mos only double!
Now to my problem I can barley run a 7 minute main with 1 warmup lap!
What kind of run time are you guys getting with this setup?
Running 5200mah 40c batt. And coming off the track at 130* in 5 minute heat race.
All in all I give this mtor a BIG thumbs up.

Diet.. reduce weight see big gains if you have not already done so. So mods are cheap, some can add up.

could be the lipo's too.. I'm taking my 2s 5400 50c speedzone packs over 10 minutes w/o issues. (racing) 1410 w/ mmp same gearing.

Very well could be the weight, I run the same battery in my 4.5 jammin and can get 15 minute bash sessions out of it, a 10 minute main is no problem.
Will a higher c rated battery last longer using the sam Mah as an example?
I do like the weight in my truck, make the truck feel more planted. Imo
