why is everyone trying to save weight ?

i race against one of these losi 4x4 weekly and the extra weight helps him i beleive cutting through traffic , light touches on my hyper etc and i get turned yet his seems to be able to take the bumps so much better because of the weight?

and yes its a small track but he is running and winning with a VXL 10T traxxis motor with a 12t pinon so if running on small indoor tracks big power is not required

i am 90% i will be getting 1 when the next batch comes out but i will use a 3800kv 4 pole motor as i have seen these in action and there sweet with a MMP

Another fun night.. all I can say is if you are racing and not running w/ the castle 1410 you don't have a clue what you are missing.. I'm dropping laps on my scte, no joke, near our pro buggy times. This truck makes me look better than I am! Again nailed 11 laps and tq in the qualifiers, I was about 25 seconds off the two of the fastest nitro buggy guys at our track, but we had the same amount of laps in. I wish I could dial in my truggy and buggy like this thing is.. LOL. The other 4x's were broke for the main so I didn't bother running it and switched to 2wd class (slow night w/ off weather and no points). My xxx-sct rear end was all over, first time I ever ran the xxxsct on a dirt track.. not as nice as it was inside.. but I was still using my indoor setup. Time to tune that one in.

That milled chassis looks great... keep us posted on behavior and durability. Maybe something I'll try to get done for mine, instead of a carbon chassis.

MOTOR HEAT the tuck is heavy. Less load on the motor making it light.
But.. If you run 1/8th scale motor on 3s... No issues at all...

i can understand wanting to do that but honestly racing against these things weekly with a bit of rubbing here and there weight is an advantage IMO

each to there own i guess but i want the weight but i will use a 4 pole motor as well when i can get a losi that is
