I bet they've got the right size made for some other vehicle that would work on the SCTE though. Looking on their site at other cars, there's a few that look like they might work.

No JC wheels fit. There are 2 wheels that fit, stock and DE makes a SCTE specific wheel.

this may be a silly question but can you replace the hex hubs on the SCTE with something from like the Slash 4x4 so that the premount tires work. Or will they not fit.

I'm in VA so it's a little warmer but nothing like surfing in CA. Would be quite the welcome trip. Plus get to see all the RC tracks in SOCAL. Let me pack my Losi and my surfboard

No , the wheels have the wrong offset built into them and the only way to get them to work would be to shorten the a arms and CVDs .

Amain has Pro-Line wheels listed under the SCTE section also.

The protracs will not fit properly and will require grinding to get full lock. they also list slash rears for the SCTE. Those also will not work.

Just because A-Main has them listed does not mean they will work, although A-Main is usually dead on about things like this.

Get some real tools. I have not seen anyone have issues with the screws that use high quality tools. These are the same screws that are in the 8ight so there is nothing unique about the screw set on the Ten. Get some good wrenches from MIP/Thorp, hudy, Losi, EDS or similar. Spending $100 on some good tools is a way better solution that will last longer then spending $130 on titanium screw kit that will save a few grams and probably strip as well if your tools are not up to the challenge.

Losi wheels are best. I would probably go with DE next. The Prolines work in a pinch but the wheel webbing will rub on the arms at rull lock.

No the SCTE already has really thin hexes and zero offset wheels to keep it legal. If you have an offset wheel there is nothing you can do to make them work.

You talking about the pin at the CV joint next to the front case? We have seen this happen but it usually takes a while for it to wear through. Ryan is aware of the issue and working on it. My understanding it is considered a wear item as it usually takes a while to wear through if it does on a particular truck.

yea thats the pin im talkin about, im actually looking for replacement pics, since there are 4 holes i could at least replace the pin once before having to replace the whole ds.
good to hear the issue is being looked at, thanks Losi CS !!

PS: I wasnt trying to suggest it might be defective, just wanted to see if anyone else was having the issues, cuz if not i could just be a problem with my setup.
maybe something causing my high temp issues...
i dunno
