You will when the aluminum blocks wear our from the weight of the SCTE.

Believe me when I say this will happen to every SCTE unless you just
keep it a shelf queen...

The guy at castle said that the stock sv2 speedo was fine in the scte and there would be no need to get the mmp.

I do love the motor this thing rips.

What ate the advantages if the rx8 over the mmp.

I have not run as much as I was last month but I never noticed any wear issues with the blocks. Not saying there are not any issues, but it has not been as big an issue as the pins. But I have read about it, so it exist.

However, I always welcome upgraded parts. I like bulletproof.

Call them again..That guy is new or doesn't know squat...There website clearly states the wieght capacity for that esc, which the Losi trumps...i have spoken to three different reps from castle, all whom stated that the sv2 or sidewinder sct esc's would not work well with this tough n heavy truck..Get another reps opinion..

See where a lot of people are getting there pins and you said most cs have been sent out, I called and sent the form one week after the truck came out and I still have not recieved anything. Should I contact CS again. Thanks in advance for any info.
You may give it a couple of days, but another week is a bit much in my opinion. If you dont have them, say by monday, I would contact them on Tuesday again.

I also noticed that in the center diff; one of the spider gears is getting bevelled on the back of the gear; due to the shim or things being off by running the crappy OG pins for a few packs before replacing with chrispins. I'll be doing the Ofna gears and shims asap and might keep it that way until this issue is resolved later on. Not flaming- i love my truck...just wish there wasn't a pin issue in the first place.
I have to say, I have never seen these little blocks wear at all. Maybe this is due in part to the pin thing, but I will look into it as well. This is not a common problem but as soon as it hits the forums, everyone seems to think everyone has these issues. It sounds like I need to get some new testers, lol.

No, you should not need all new gears. We are looking into the gears as I have mentioned before and I will keep people updated. What I can say is there have been a couple of different molds because of how long the TEN series has been out so if you are changing gears out, I would change all of them at the same time. Mixing gears together from different batches may turn out poorly. All of the TEN-SCTE's had the same gear batch just as an FYI. I have tested them up to 4s with an 8th scale motor, they are not bad.

This is simply flaming and not appropriate at all. I have run my truck non stop for months and months with zero issues as have many others. I put a lot of motor and run on tracks with a lot of traction.

I've sent a few spare gears to people who needed them to keep running until more gears come avalible. I guess mix matching the gears from a Ten T is better than not running.

Thanks for the update Ryan.

Rx8 advantages are it's a 1/8 scale esc that can handle pretty much any servo. Likewise the mmp is much more sensitive to what servo's work with out a bypass circuit or a BEC added to the mix. The best part about the MMp is the pit tuning card.. you don't need a PC to adjust most of the settings at the track. I have a couple tekin rspro's and several mmp's no real issues with any other than I always use the 985mg hitec servo w/ my mmp's.

Not flaming at all (just the facts man) read my post before that
one. Heres a repost for ya so you don't have to go look for the one you
missed... I love my SCTE even with all it's teething problems..

I changed my pins before I ever put in the radio, esc, motor,rx and servo.

My diffs look just like yours, so it makes no difference what pins you are
running in the SCTE...

Theres many other people on this forum and other forums that changed
their diff pins before ever driving their trucks. Their having the same
problems also with the gears, shims & aluminum blocks all disintegrating
into dust because of how heavy the SCTE is.

I've said it before........ I'm sure Losi will get this problem fixed as they
have seemed to be fixing everything else thats a problem on this truck.

I race 3 to 4 days a week so I'm seeing things on this truck alot sooner
then most. If I hadn't bought (two) SCTE's I'd a been side lined a long
time ago...

I love the truck and if Losi stands behind it the way they seem to be thus
far I'm sticking with it...

BTW: Rayan can speak for himself, even if you think you might know whats
on his mind...LOL"

Lil update,
Tried the 1415 with a 21t and a 19t pinion.
Temps were about the same (170-175) and i would just barely get 7 mins from a 5000mah pack. This is on 2s still.
I dont think i could go any lower than the 19 cuz it just barely clears the triples at my track.

Seems like 20 may be the happy medium..
