Luckily, many of the parts on this car have been thoroughly tested with the TEN-T. But this car is in the hands of many people already and has performed great with next to no failure. Normal wear and tear maintenance is necessary with any car. And running this over an ofna in my opinion is better performing and much less parts breakage. But thats just from what I've seen.

I hear you and agree although it is kind of hard to do with new cars. You think it isn't but a lot of times most of the development happens behind closed doors and very few people know about the project. The do drop tests and other things like that to ensure some level of durability on parts and new cars but it is hard to real world test for all conditions. You go with a reasonable level of testing and move on. If something unforseen turns up to you do your best to fix it. A lot of issues I have seen of late end up with slight changes to part materials when mass production goes into effect and change the parts slightly from those tested. It is a quality control issue but not always easily solved.

As far as this car goes since the front and rear clips are from an existing platform the Ten-T that more then a few poeple on here have already converted to SC trucks using aftermarket conversion kits this truck has already been "real world" tested by non pro guys. I have ready very little negative about build quality or broken parts from those guys. A small issue with rod ends but that was traced to a run of bad parts (fixed) and if you want to bullet proof that problem Titanium tie rods from the 8ight fit right on this truck and have deeper threads to bite the ends better and solve that issue. This is probably one of the most tested cars ever relased by losi since a good majority of the suspension parts have been out for a while now.

Well said on the durability... If anyone has seen me drive in my videos you know it's one tough sob. I have a full month on the truck and zero broken parts. That's been my biggest issue with current 4wd's... This truck has been perfect for my as I call it "Hold my beer and watch this" style of driving.

I think most SC bodies out right now should work with this truck. The SCTE body is just a touch longer then the SCT body but only 4mm. Most all of us are racing with SCT RTR bodies on our SCTE's right now since they are easy to get ahold of and show it is a losi easily. It might require a little snip here or there to get it to fit but I don't see much of an issue getting other SC bodies out there to fit on this truck.

It has fairly adjustable body mounts as well so it shouldnt be a problem.

So just to get my head around all this, as I'm still not sure what to buy but as salad fork has said I'll just get both, lol

Buy the losi roller kit
Get a set of 8ight titanium rod ends (steering I presume)
Tekin rx8 and 5.5 tekin 550 ( as my nue has turned up yet)

And the thing should be ready to go?

Our local track is tight clay indoor,

Do we need to change diff/shock oils straight away and if so what weights are you guys using?

What else do we need on this truck? I think this will be my first losi truck...

Thanks for the help?

How does the novak havoc pro sc esc and the ballistic 550 4.5 motor combo work on the losi ten-scte? has any one tested it yet.

Not on the TEN-SCTE but I have in a 4x4 6.5lbs SCT and I found that motor to run hot (especially in long mains) so I used the 14mm tuning rotor which brings the kv down about 20% (4000kv) and this helped a lot but still ran on the hot side (180*).
Although, it was better it still wasn't as good as the 5.5 550 which ran cooler (140*).
And nowhere near as cool and powerful as the CC/Neu 1410/1Y 3800kv
As far as the esc it held up for the little I used it and still works good for my buddy, but I use the MMP now with no probs whatsoever (even way before I added caps).

It should work well. I run the motor but use a Xcelorin speedo for ESC. The havoc pro is rated for that motor so it should work fine.

gonna be using my mmp and ballastic 4.5 for a large outdoor track.

Think ill try to use the stock tires. i noticed that using 4 subcultures last season on my slash 4x4 was TOO much traction on our dirt. If not ill switch to proline calibers

that Spektrum S6040 looks perfect, ive got a ace ds1313 ill be trying

i have that combo in my jammin. my motor is the hv series but its a 550 4.5

it works great so far. i only run it on a 10 tooth pinion. could prolly go to a 12/13. i do have alot of timing in it via the esc. plenty of speed and power. i run on an 8th scale track with it.
