3M DI-NOC carbon fiber (link)

it's just a vinyl sticker basically that looks like carbon, pretty darn slick. It will help protect a lil is all.. not a big deal.

One more if I may. I run deans males on my MMP, my losi 2wd xcelorin has the xcelorin plugs. Is there something I can do ...adaptor wise that I can run all my batteries with both trucks connectors? Without having to solder deans on the xcelorin esc? The venoms that I have are nice due to the bag of connectors, but don't plan on buying them all the time.

You can make your own connector/adapter but I wouldn't recommend it since it adds a point of resistance to your electric current. I would rather just change all my connectors to Traxxas Plugs since they are easy to solder and can support larger loads of electricity....so I've been told. Just my .02.

I soldered my own wire leads to work as an adapter for different plugs...It has worked good for me just make sure you use the thick wires...

I see that Venom sells their universal kit. That's what I will get.
As a newbie to the hobby it sure is confusing trying to get batteries that fit with all the esc's.

The xcelorin lipo doesn't even fit the xcelorin esc...go figure. It also does not plug into my balancer without some sort of adaptor. It's enough to make your head spin. I even asked the hobby guy..."oh no you'll be fine" he said. I guess they think gas is a buck and we have all the time in the world to go back and forth.

Us new guys need educated on this stuff...and it seems they don't give a damn whether we get what we need the first time or not.

Will the combo I have perform better on 3s?

Is there a battery that you guys use that is a good quality yet cheap?

Sorry for the lipo question?
25c on 3s with that motor will be fine if it is a 5000mah pack. 25cx5ah=125a continous
The Mamba Monster esc is rated at 120a continous. The large c ratings are around because alot of brands..........maxcramps.........use false c ratings.

Got the diff pins from Horizon today....already have the Chris pins installed though.....oh well, have spares now.

Finally had the time to finish the truck last night and got to race it for the first time today. First time I've raced since 2005......man, I'm rusty. I luuuuuve this 4wd! Even though I sucked, I bet I sold 3 or 4 of these SCTE's today.

The Castle 1410 motor (geared 14/40 on a small-ish track) w/RX8 is the ticket. Motor temped in the 130's all day. Even after a 10 minute main and another TEN or so minutes of practice! I'm pretty sure I could go a 20 minute main easy.......sweet! Outside ambient in the lower 80's.

Went with 5/3/2 in the diffs. Worked great on an outdoor clay track. The hacked up battery/esc tray held up great.....battery never moved. The hacked up receiver box/servo mount worked great too.

Already put the Losi cf towers on.....have got the Lunsford turnbuckles ready to go on next. Just need all of those carbon fiber goodies and chassis that's supposed be coming out soon.

Thank you for that info...makes sense. I'm being told don't buy anything if it's not 40c or better...wondered all along if that was legit.

You guys really help...and it is greatly appreciated.

The spur gear from the Hyper 10SC will work in the CD with opening up the middle to about 19mm, if I remember correctly.
I run 42/15, I use the metal one but STRC makes a plastic one that should be easier to open up the center with just a dremel as the metal ones are a little more involved.
