Using part number KYOIF346-05B you can adapt kyosho, xray or any other spring that diameter to your stock losi shocks (just pay attention to the length). The parts are $9.25 @ A-Main, minus the cost of springs. You will use the upper centering ring, lower spring cup and the shock end. The set doesn't include the balls for the end. I bought some at my lhs from Traxxas for a couple bucks. The difference is that I now have a plethora of spring choices rather than two plus one I can't get anywhere.
Sorry cell phone pic..
We will be releasing a new line of front and rear springs for this truck. There will be 4 rates for each and they will be sold as a set. They are a higher strength rating spring (different that spring rate) so they support the SC body a bit better. They are also a lightly bigger diameter so you dont have to pull the spring down to adjust the collar.

Just as an FYI, everyone that called losi or horizon has been sent updated pins.

FWIW I got my pins from Horizon today as well. However, no gears to put on them but I am sure that Horizon is handling things as quickly as possible.

Pinions for the Castle 1410.......

I don't have any 3mm 32 pitch pinions.......got plenty of the bigger bore pinions for 550 motors, but no 32p for the smaller shaft motor.

Is it OK to use a 5mm to 3mm pinion adapter to run with the bigger bore pinions......any reason not to.....or do I just need to suck it up and buy a bunch of correct sized pinions for the Castle?

First off unless you did some odd mod, the scte spur is a 40t mod 1, so of course your pinions should also be mod1.

Yes you can use the 3mm to 5mm adapter, to use typical 5mm mod 1 pinions. You could also snag 3mm ofna mod 1 pinons from amainhobbies or nitrohouse, they both carry them.

Exactly...

Why should they be? I (and MANY others)bought this thing to drive NOT to tear it apart and re-engineer the damn thing. What about the screws that snap when you try and take your diffs apart? Break out the calipers!?!? Give me a break.

Did Bill Gates buy out Losi? I know there are fixes out there. That's not the point. So what? I get a little baggie with some diff pins in it. What about my time fixing LOSI's problem? This is the first Losi product I have purchased and it has sitting in a box for over a month and a half.
Yea, we all know its messed up. But at least we have trucks to drive. Unlike all the people still waiting on the AE. I have yet to break any diff screws. I guess i lucked out there. I guess we all could of bought durango's, but we would still be in the same boat. Broken ring and pinions in the diffs. Or sit on a waiting list with no definate date of release. If you dont like working on your rc car, you should just sell it because thats all part of the hobby. I understand your frustration but if the truck was perfect we would find something else to complain about. Oh well, Im sure it will all be taken care of before the ae is released.

You will need two of those behind each bevel gear to help things mesh properly. At least that's what mine needed.

Just basically pull the losi or AE pins out and toss em on the side.. Same with the Losi gears, tiny washers and aluminum bushings and replace with OFNA gears, Kyosho washers (or equivalent). The shafts are a touch too long. You will need to trim equal amounts from both ends of the pin. It is nothing major, it isn't so much that you need to cut it off with a wheel. Just a touch on the grinder or dremel tool and all will be good.

Now this info. ("ROCKS") this will help a friend of mine who I'm forwarding
this to right now THANKS"

Any cure for the large sun gears on the out put shaft???? Anyone found
another brand that would work with this Ofna/Kyosho fix???

Got my pins, was wondering if I would. I only called Horizon one time about 6 weeks ago. Was wondering if they would send them, and they did woohoo. Time to tear them apart now. Also got my Tekin T8 2650 sensored motor in the mail today. I need to get some wires to solder on though, and a sensor wire.Anyone got an extra sensor wire laying around for cheap? PM me.

sensor wires are cheap and worth buying new, a 100-150mm is what your looking for. A Super Soft is also something you want.
